All-in-one printers do everything, but usually at the expense ofexcelling at any single job. Not so with the Epson Artisan 810, whichquickly spits out high-quality photographic prints and also ably takescare of your scanning, copying, and standard ...
Fast, high-quality prints. Printing without a computer will save Mother's Day. Six individual ink tanks. Automatically switches between 2 paper sources
Double-sided printing is slow. Printing 4x6 color images is loud
Epson's Artisan 810 offers quick and easy setup, with stellar print quality that rivals higher-end printers.

iPods are great, and we're rarely without one. But sometimes a pair ofearbuds just isn't enough--especially when you want some tunes for abackyard BBQ or basement dance party, or perhaps your favoriteLemonheads record just doesn't sound right unless ...
Internal rechargeable battery. Guitar and mic inputs. Loud and compact
Highs and lows can be muffled. Not iPhone compatible. Master volume knob feels a bit flimsy
The Tailgater is a convenient way to bring some music to your next party, and instrument and mic inputs make it useful for musicians and karaoke nuts alike.

Rarely do we run across an all-in-one printer as capable, affordable, and easy to use as the Epson WorkForce 600.
Gorgeous photos. Great color copies. Fast, easy direct-to-PDF scans. Networkable via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Built-in double-sided printing and copying
USB port on front of unit is inset too far to fit some USB drives without an adapter
This ultracapable multifunction printer wowed us with stunning photo prints and speedy full-color copies, scans, and document prints, all wrapped up in a good-looking device that pairs stylishly with any late-model Mac.

All-in-one printers have gotten a bad rap. Sure, they can print, scan, copy, and even fax, but usually their talents are a mile wide and an inch deep.
Excellent print quality. Quiet and fast. Moderate ink cost. Built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet
Standalone printing displays and outputs JPEG only. Cannot print text from usable black cartridge if any color cartridge needs replacement
Flexible printing options, built-in networking, and scanning and faxing capabilities-plus fun extras like coloring book pages and greeting card options-make the Artisan 800 a true jack-of-all-trades.

Given how large the universe of $100 photo printers has grown, it can be difficult to decide exactly which one to throw your 100 bones toward.
Prints gorgeous photos, albeit a tad slowly. Printing from a memory card is a snap
Software makes it more difficult than necessary to print photos from within an image editor
Despite a clunky process for printing photos from within an image editor, the Photosmart D5460 turns out gorgeous photos and doesn't consume ink like a pig at the trough the way some printers in its class do. For 100 bucks, it's a fabulous value.

Printer, heal thyself. Things that go bump in the night: ghosts, ghouls, and the new HP Photosmart Pro B8850. If this printer sits idle for more than a day, it powers on, wakes up, and checks each of its 4,884 ink nozzles to make sure they're ...
Excellent color and B&W output. Replaceable print heads. High capacity pigment ink cartridges. Solidly built
Does not support media thicker than 0.7mm (heavy card stock). Multiple-user networking not supported. Awkward feed arrangement for large sheets of paper
Despite some paper-handling inconveniences, the B8850's high quality output, decent speed (2 minutes, 30 seconds to print a quality 8-by-10), and moderate ink costs (about $3 for a 13-by-19-inch print) make it a heavy hitter. It's a 38-pound behemoth ...

Adventures in absurdity--everyone but our art director laughed at the title. Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One is as grand and tongue-in-cheek as its title. The team behind popular webcomic Penny Arcade ...
Excellent art design matches online Penny Arcade comic. Fun combat mechanic keeps players involved. Native OS X engine playable on Intel GMA 950 MacBook. Universal binary
Characters occasionally get stuck behind level scenery instead of walking around it. Character creator choices too limited
Episode One will only take a weekend of intense play or a week of casual sessions, but we like that manageable length. We're looking forward to the next four episodes, coming in about three months, as will anyone who tries this game.

Just the Fax, Ma'am
Excellent value. Solid features for all functions. Fax capability.
Slow print speeds. Additional kit needed for networking.
. This thing is a workhorse, and the price is only slightly higher than that of a multifunction printer sans fax. If you send more than the occasional fax, you'll love the convenience. If you don't need to network the printer (thus saving the $100 ...
