Brother MFC-J5910DW Review

Printers are a need for every office and an all-in-one functionality printer is preferred because it offers space and power saving features. Brother International has been in the market for a long time now and offers a range of printers varying from...

The printer has a monthly duty cycle of 7,000 pages. Consumables packaged with the product are four starter cartridges, which can yield around 600 pages. Each cartridge costs around Rs. 435, which calculates the print economy to be at Rs 0.70 for B/W...

Brother MFC-J5910DW

The key difference between the MFC-J5910DW and the Brother MFC-J6510DW is the paper size they can scan. The MFC-J5910DW is limited to scanning up to legal size, rather than tabloid size. The smaller flatbed lets the printer itself be smaller, at 10.2...

Prints at up to tabloid size (11 by 17 inches). Scans, copies, and faxes. Automatic document feeder. Duplex printing

Only one paper tray, so you can't keep letter and tabloid size paper loaded at the same time

The Brother MFC-J5910DW prints at tabloid size, scans and faxes even over a network, works as a standalone copier and fax machine, and is both cheap to buy and cheap to run.

Brother MFC-J5910DW

Some makers of all-in-one (AIO) inkjet printers excel in certain niches. Canon, for example, makes great photo-centric AIOs. Brother, on the other hand, engineers great business-centric models that provide many of the productivity and convenience...

Prints oversize sheets up to 11x17 inches ; Relatively low cost of ink ; Good-looking business-document output

Poor photograph printing and copying ; Scan and copy times slightly slower than average ; Small LCD

The MFC-J5910DW prints ledger-size (11x17-inch) pages for a great price, and it prints good-looking business documents. It struggles, however, when printing and copying photographs.

Brother MFC-J5910DW review

Its print quality isn't the best out there, but if you need a cheap and cheerful model to print large A3 sheets economically, the Brother MFC-J5910DW's £110 price tag is hard to beat.

Very cheap for an A3 model ; Economical to run ; Easy to set up and use ; Great range of features

Print quality could be better

The MFC-J5910DW certainly doesn't deliver the last word in print quality. But it's remarkable that it offers A3 printing as well as scanning and faxing support for just a smidgen over a £100. If you're working to a tight budget, but need a machine to...

Brother MFC-J5910DW review

This hulking inkjet multifunction peripheral (MFP) from Brother is big for a reason: it's able to print on paper sizes up to A3. This flexibility makes it suitable for small businesses or home users who may appreciate the extra size for complex...

This fast, generally competent MFP is good value. Be aware, however, that while it can print to A3, it can only scan, fax or copy up to A4

Brother MFC-J5910DW

Brother's MFC-J5910 is a duplex, wireless all-in-one with added A3 print. All this for £125 should be a good deal, right?

Duplex A3 print, Programmable functions, Flexible feature-set for money

Below average print quality, Awkward and flimsy paper tray, Looks like a tank

Brother MFC-J5910DW Printer review

Brother's new budget-conscious A3 MFP dips on quality. They say bigger isn't necessarily better but when it comes...

Economic A3 printing as part of a multifunction package

Print colours appear rather pale and lifeless

The Brother MFC-J5910DW is a sturdy multifunction printer that includes fax capability, good connectivity options and A3 sized printing (but not copying). This is together with excellent controls, however, it's let down by average quality printing and...

Fantastic

Wireless network setup was easy and I've never had to reboot for connectivity - like most wifi printers.

Great printer all around. Decent photographs. SUPER cheap ink! The high yield black gets 2500 pages! That is the most I'd ever seen for an inkjet

Photos could be a bit better, though they are totally decent

Dependable, multifunction and wireless!

Epson printer just up and died on me and I had some NewEgg gift cards so I picked up this little honey. Set up was easy and straight forward, no issues getting it working wirelessly. LCD display is so intuitive to use, makes for job setup and running...

Front loading and discharge makes placing it against wall or in cabinet easy to use. Document feeder is excellent, smooth loading and makes for quick batch work, Scanner works fantastic, no shadowing or over exposure. Compact size is nice for small...

Tends to go through ink pretty quickly, depending on tasks, can be loud when first starting printing or copying, also high quality printing can generate loud whine from printhead dispensing ink

Not impressed

Great scanner. High speed copier

Colors appear washed out. Too many steps to get colors right. Paper jams too often. Could not clear error without removing power from the device. No manual feed. Have to remove all paper to print 1 envelope
