The Brother HL-3070CW colour printer is one of the company's first to use LED technology. Competing with entry-level colour laser printers, the HL-3070CW is reasonably quick and it's easy to set up.
Brother's HL-3070CW colour LED printer may boast a comparatively new technology, but at the end of the day, it looks and performs like most laser printers. It certainly performs well for its price, but it's not without flaws commonly encountered on ...

The Lexmark Platinum Pro905 colour inkjet multifunction printer is a well-equipped, competent small-office MFP with a twist. Users can access and view web-based applications on its large, touchscreen LCD.
Lexmark's Platinum Pro905 all-in-one printer offers two good things for any small office: lots of paper handling and cheap ink. These attributes somewhat make up for the device's middling speed and print quality. Consider the Lexmark Platinum Pro905 ...

We had a hard time trying to find something nice to say about the Fuji Xerox Phaser 3100MFP monochrome laser multifunction printer. It can print, scan and copy but none of these functions are easy to use.
Unfortunately, the Fuji Xerox Phaser 3100MFP's frustrations ultimately outweigh the benefits.

The Canon PIXMA MP560 is a simple inkjet multifunction that offers sufficient print quality for both documents and family photos. USB and Wi-Fi connectivity make it easy to connect, but it won't print to CDs and DVDs like the HP Photosmart C5380.
If you don't need the PIXMA MP640's CD/DVD printing, Ethernet port or automatic duplexing, the Canon PIXMA MP560 gives you high quality documents and photos for an inexpensive purchase price.

The Oki C110 is a straightforward, affordable colour laser printer.
Those in the market for a colour laser probably won't drop their sights to the Oki C110, but as an alternative to an inkjet it makes an incredible amount of sense. Fast and capable of high-quality print that comfortably outclasses almost all inkjets, ...

The HP Photosmart Premium All-In-One is a multifunction printer with advanced touchscreen control
The HP Photosmart Premium All-In-One isn't as robust as it might be, but the touchscreen is a very nice feature that should be standard on printers before long. Perhaps a number of the extras, such as the Snapfish support, will only be of genuine use ...

The Canon PIXMA iX7000 is a behemoth. At 410mm high and 710mm deep with trays fully extended, this A3+ inkjet printer takes up a substantial amount of desk space.
Canon's PIXMA iX7000 A3 inkjet printer isn't the best option for producing business documents on matte media. Though automatic duplexing and ethernet connectivity are certainly handy, restrictions with media input as well as its print speeds and ...

Brother's colour inkjet multifunction printer (MFP), the Brother MFC-6490CW, adds wide-format printing capability to an already long list of functions. Unfortunately, extremely slow performance is the tradeoff.
The Brother MFC-6490CW multifunction printer's wide-format capability is nice, but not its slow performance and variable print quality.

Canon's Pixma MP490 colour inkjet multifunction printer (MFP) has a superlow price and a simple-to-use design that should appeal to home and student users. If you print a lot, however, look elsewhere, as its ink costs are high.
The £79 price range of the Canon Pixma MP490 MFP means tradeoffs. The high ink costs are bearable if you print infrequently; otherwise, look for a model with lower-cost inks (and a higher purchase price), such as HP's OfficeJet 6500 Wireless.

With a price tag close to that of the mono Brother HL-5340D, the Canon i-SENSYS LBP5050n colour laser printer looks a bargain. And so it is, as long as you're prepared to put up with a few compromises.
The Canon i-SENSYS LBP5050n isn't without its flaws, but overall this is a very commendable printer. The quality is good - very good on text - and even if the specifications don't compare with those of other colour lasers, the price tag is ...
