Review: Samsung CLX-6260FW color laser multifunction printer

Superior photo quality ; Automatic duplex printing and scanning ; Fast performance on Mac platform

Standard paper capacity seems meager for the price

Impressive print quality is the highlight of this small workgroup unit. Speed and features are competent. Toner costs range from average to a little pricey.

Samsung CLX-6260FW Color Multifunction Printer

When it comes to midsize business printers that are fast, inexpensive to use (in terms of the per-page cost of toner, that is), and sharp in their output, few manufacturers build consistently better color laser printers than Samsung. Case in point is...

Excellent print quality ; Good-quality scans and copies ; Large (50-sheet) auto-duplexing ADF ; Easy to set up and use ; Stylish design ; Supports PostScript emulation

Slightly high price for the printer itself ; Lofty cost per page (CPP)

This high-volume multifunction color laser churns out great-looking business documents. You'll want to shop aggressively for the best prices on its toner cartridges, however.

Samsung CLX-6260FW review

The Samsung CLX-6260FW has all the connectivity most situations require: Wi-Fi, USB, and gigabit ethernet. The unit is controlled via a 4.3-inch touchscreen, and the menus and options are arranged intuitively. As the CLX-6260FW faxes, a numeric keypad...

It's truly no fun to recommend against a multifunction that's so cleanly designed as the Samsung CLX-6260FW. But as nice as its speed, output and features are, the toner is just plain expensive.

Samsung CLX-6260ND

The Samsung CLX-6260ND is a full colour, duplex all-in-one printer with a good turn of speed

Eco print mode ; Good software bundle ; 50-sheet ADF

Patchy print quality from this sample ; Single-sided scan-head ; Noisy paper feed

Samsung’s ReCP technology is claimed to automatically sharpen the focus of printed graphics and text and overlap objects to eliminate the white gaps known as haloing. That’s combined with a newly developed, polymerised toner which is designed to...

CLX6260FW

Might just buy another at the current great price and save until needed.

Got this printer to try due to features and performance figures. This MFP has more features and out performs HP and Lexmark MFPs at twice the price. I've had both and know the price, available features and durability. I was concerned about durability...

Really none. I haven't had the issue with monitoring toner levels. And, I hve rep[laced toner. As to heavy, with the multiple functions, capacities and speeds, etc., their all heavy

CLX-6260 Update

Over all I'm pretty satisfied with this machine.

Prints very fast. I've printed several photos and depending on the type of paper used it has great quality. Scanning is fast also. I replaced a HP photosmart with this because the ink would dry. Toner is always better if it is a while before you use...

Fax machine wakes the printer on every phone ring even if it's not a fax. Samsung couldn't offer any suggestions on this issue. Periodically the printer wakes for no reason when connected to a network. Loud compared to other laser printers I've used....

Exceeds expectations

I purchased this printer online after returning an in-stock Brother model with similar features. I was looking for the following features: (1) color; (2) laser or LED; (3) all-in-one; (4) wireless; and (5) auto duplexing. I had been waiting for Brother...
