Samsung Printer Xpress C410W review: NFC makes low-end color laser a little special

Its toner costs are high, and the Samsung Xpress C410W is one of the slower color laser printers we've ever tested, but print quality, including color photos, is as good or better than anything in its price range. And, it prints via NFC.

Better-than-usual photo quality for a color laser

Slow print performance ; Color toner costs are a little high

Samsung Printer Xpress C410W review

The world is a colorful place, which is why color printers outsell black and white monochrome units. Not too long ago, having a color laser printer at home meant you were probably well off. But the price of laser printers has since come down...

NFC printing ; Excellent connectivity including Wi-Fi ; Very good quality output ; Easy setup

Supplies are very expensive ; No automatic duplexing or manual feed ; Printing in color is slow

The Samsung C410W is a good color laser printer with NFC. If it weren’t for the expensive supplies, we’d recommend it for all users.

I have had several Samsung Lasers over the years, great product, nice to 'park' the printer for extended periods knowing the print quality will still be there, unlike inkjets which can dry and clog with extended periods of nonuse...easy to setup,...

Third one, started with the CLP-315 back in 2008, EZ setup, USB, wireless, network wireless, and it has the NFC function, which worked on first try ; Slick, what is great about these printers is they can be 'parked' for a long time and still print,...

Basic yet functional

Warms up my home office... but all laser printers have a tendency of doing this. I purchased this unit with my wife going back to pursue another degree... I bought her a tablet, but she still like to print things and the toner was much cheaper. For the...

Picked it up for $99 ; Color ; Laser ; Warms up quick ; Wakes up effortlessly from idle(no need to press a wake/sleep button)

Cheaper unit ; Bloatware Driver Suite (I just want the Driver, I do not care about toner status, page counts or other useless information! It's a network printer... I can always log in and see what the life of things is.) ; Hidden Admin Password....

Samsung NFC XPRESs SL-C410W Wireless Colour Laser Printer

Easy to set up wireless, even for Linux (Ubuntu)

Paper tray seems flimsy and not designed well, as it protrudes - you have to remove paper before pushing paper tray in because it collapses to a smaller size
