Solidoodle Press

The Press, Solidoodle's first attempt at a purely consumer 3D printer, has some nice features for its moderate price, but in testing, we encountered operational issues, mediocre print quality, and plenty of misprints.

Generous build area for the price. Enclosed frame. Self-leveling print bed.

Several frustrating operational glitches in our tests. More than its share of misprints. So-so print quality.

Conclusion The Solidoodle Press is a decent, though flawed, stab at a consumer-oriented 3D printer. Safety is a strong point, as the Press's enclosed frame protects onlookers from touching a hot part and being burned, and it's hard to reach inside...
