Xerox Phaser 6130/N

When I unpacked the Xerox Phaser 6130/N ($450 street), my first reaction was that it looked like a shrunken-down version of other Phaser models. It seemed a lightweight, compact solution for anyone needing a color laser for a small office, home office,...

High-quality output, particularly for text. Small. Lightweight. Network-ready

Slow. Limited paper handling. Effective monochrome speed is below the rated speed

The Xerox Phaser 6130/N's small size and light weight make it a good choice for a small-office or home-office network color laser.

Review: Xerox Phaser 6130 color laser printer

Though the Phaser 6130 is inexpensive, there are better options in the same price range. For $50 more, you can buy Brother's HL-4070CDW, a much faster, higher quality color laser printer that includes wireless networking and duplexing.

Setting up the color laser is simple. Weighing 37 pounds and measuring about 15 inches deep, the Phaser 6130 is relatively small compared to many laser printers; you should be able to set up this device safely without assistance. Once you lock the...

Xerox Phaser 6130 Review

We've remarked more than once that hardware shoppers can often get good values by buying last year's model instead of a new, mildly freshened version of a product, because the manufacturer is sure to have lowered the older version's price to make room...

The Phaser 6130 marks a pleasing step closer to the day when color laser printers are compact enough to stash anywhere or even to move from desk to desk within an office. Its paper tray may need refilling a little frequently for our liking, but its...

Amazing Printer. Totally justifiable switch from inkjets...

Overall very satisfied. I bought some quality paper for it and my prints look absolutely spectacular. The new system came with 4 starter toners which last about 100 pages each. I just hope the day when I need to replace the 4 toners never comes, cause...

Great quality prints, the colors are sharp and very clear, and even b&w prints look sharper than some other laser printers. Since I am switching from an inkjet printer, the speed of this Xerox far exceeds any and all of my expectations, not to mention...

Basically there are two ; It tends to be a little loud in the "ready" mode, as there's a rather loud exhaust fan in the back. Not a big deal, especially since you can set it to go into power saver mode after as little as 5 min ; I still don't know how...

Good Deal

Good all around printer. Price per page is better than comparable HP printers and prints quickly. Keep in mind that this will accept PC4200 DDR2 SO-DIMM's. So don't waste your money on the "Xerox" ram.

Good printer with good quality color print! Cartriges are a little expensive, but not when compared to ink cartriges. We purchased this printer from NewEgg along with a Free 22" monitor! Good deal there too

No duplexing option. Have to manually reload the tray if you want to really print on both sides

Nice Printer

If you want more than the 128Mb memory that is onboard then you will want to grab this memory; Kingston 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM Unbuffered DDR2 533 (PC2 4200). Pop it in, turn it on and away you go.

Nice compact Color Laser printer. Neweggs price was also very nice. The web based options menus make it very easy to use instead of the LCD menu tree. Its also pretty quiet for a laser printer. I upgraded the memory becuase i have a few people that use...

None that I have found yet, but if any pop up ill update this posting

Works great

It seems like the mechanism has lots of things holding it together for shipping. I wonder how well it will hold together when I next have to ship it somewhere (during a move.)

Print quality is good, ethernet setup is easy, postscript printer, so it works good with Linux generic postscript driver. Good value in combo with Asus LCD

Doesn't duplex, but that would probably cost more
