Xerox says its Phaser 6280 series is capable of delivering 'beautiful colour and quiet reliability for your busy workteam'
A well-priced workgroup printer that offers speed, quality and features that will allow it to grow with your demands
The Xerox Phaser 6280DN ($649 direct) is Xerox's latest color laser workhorse entry for small offices and workgroups. Although it's a little pricier than some of its competition, it stands out from the crowd for its great-looking output, particularly ...
Reasonably fast. High-quality output, particularly for text and graphics. Good paper handling
Both initial price and running costs are a touch on the high side
The Xerox Phaser 6280DN color laser offers a highly attractive balance of speed, output quality, and paper handing for a small office or small workgroup.
Check out the Xerox Phaser 6280DN's performance test results I installed the...
In the universe of sub-$1,000 color laser printers, the Xerox Phaser 6280/DN is a fair performer. It has high-capacity input trays and toner cartridges, and an average cost per print and purchase price. It’s fast at printing longer text documents, ...
10/100 Ethernet ; duplex printing ; high-capacity toner cartridges ; superior text quality
Photographs have red color cast ; confusing driver menus
The 6280/DN was easy to set up, and once it was powered up and connected via Ethernet to our test network, it was recognized automatically via Bonjour, Apple's zero-configuration networking protocol. You can also connect to the printer via USB 2.0
I have used both 6180n and 6280n. Both are great printers. I used a regular laptop DDR2 memory to upgrade the printer, and it works. Installing memory is super easy, just open a door on the back and plug in.
speed of printing, quality of prints, network printer, support windows, mac Os and linux. Upgrading memory is easy. Setup is quite easy. I tried vista, xp and mac os. For mac os, make sure Line printer is selected, rather than internet protocol, for netwo...
The printer is quite big and heavy. I used the prior model 6180n at home and it needs some space. 6280n seems to be exactly the same size and the same design, with slightly more internal memory and an extra logo on the front
Please save your shipping box until your warranty has expired. IMHO, with printer is of high quality and good design. This model received (6180N) a 4.8 of 5 on Trusted Reviews.com.
This printer is identical to our 6180N we purchased three months ago, from New Egger. We purchased a new printer because the phaser burnt out of our Konia/Minolta (piece of junk)
This machine is on the heavier side of things. It is also rather tall and should be place on a work table lower than most. It 18 1/2" high and 17" by 14" wide. It is much louder than an inkjet printer, not to mention weight and size
New Egg shipped the printer very quickly and it arrived in perfect condition.
This printer is pretty big, but lighter than my Oki C5150n and by far exceeds the Oki. The setup was a breeze and they have Vista 64-bit drivers and appear to be constantly updating them which wasn't done with Oki. The print quality is very good and the s...
The front tray doesn't hold as much as the Oki
