While Core i7 systems offer a performance advantage, it is still hard to pass up the power of a Core system. Also, with the recent price drop of quad core processors, including the great "E0 stepping only" Q9650, it's hard to justify the additional ...

What cons

Gigabyte will not honor rebates
This bd. doesn't match up to its PR. Gigabyte tech support answers their phone though and you can understand them. Mwave sent a rev. 1.0 but there is a rev 1.1 out there, somewhere that may work better.
Sounds good. Cpu temp was 30 deg. cent. system temp around 34c. It was supposedly designed for overclocking. I was just looking for a well built, stable, quality motherboard
Mwave sent older rev bd.;Won't install Windows XP SP1.;Only ONE ide channel! Length between Floppy slot and Floppy barely reach, tacky. Paid for test, got older bios
Used this motherboard for a build, everything booted up smoothly the first time I turned it on. Not a problem yet!
One of the most affordable motherboard around that supports DDR3 memory ; Gigabyte reliability
None so far, it does everything listed
