Looking for a good low cost board for your i7 lovin'? ASRock may have your answer with the X58 Extreme. Introduction
The ASRock X58 Extreme is a mixed bag to be sure. It is a decent board when it comes to normal usage. However, it has some issues with memory as well as some POST and boot issues that we were not able to resolve. Tri-SLI did not work and SLI was also ...
The ASRock X58 SuperComputer motherboard is the flagship Intel motherboard for ASRock and it is loaded with features like four PCI Express 2.0 slots and support for all Intel Core i7 processors! Read on to see how this board does against the Intel ...
The ASRock X58 SuperComputer was a fantastic performer, had great overclocking potential, and had a decent bundle. ASRock produced a board that rivals most of the other leading manufacturers out there. The only hold up for the board may be the price ...
X58 is a high-end chipset, yet ASRock now has their own version aimed toward a more mainstream crowd whilst keeping all the important features. Introduction
Now, what can we say about the ASRock X58 SuperComputer motherboard other than "WOW!" - This board has really put a bit of a dampener on the likes of the ASUS P6T and Rampage II Extreme. The SuperComputer board puts in enough features for just about ...
Not sure if stability is mobo or memory issue but not to concerned about it as im not over clocking yet and wont be in the near future. OCZ's forum helped me get my base setting right.
Decent price, took a little tweaking of settings on the board to make ocz gold (OCZ3G1600LV6GK ) stable at stock settings BUT no big hassel ;
None, just 1 egg off for lack of out of box plug and play stability with paired ram ;
Why pay more of a i7 board.
Power and reset on PCB ; 2 x 16x PCI-E ; Great board layout ; Clear C-MOS on I/O Plate ; Fair amount of OC features in BIOS ; ASRock OC Tuner makes basic overclocking easy ;
None ;
Despite negative reviews, I had no problem getting 6GB of OCZ Gold RAM recognized. My specs below: Intel Core i7 920 Cooler Master Hyper 212+ CPU Cooler ASRock X58 Extreme OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Gold Low-Voltage 3x2GB RAM PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Qua...
This is one of the least expensive X58 boards on the market. Overclocking is easy as pie ; just select the configuration you want in the BIOS, and away you go! The PCIe slots are nicely spaced apart for SLI/Crossfire, and it's got TWO x16 slots. Nice ;
None, really. I kind of wish it had integrated graphics, just because it would be a nice backup in case my video card craps out on me someday. I don't think any X58 board has that, though, so I can't hold it against it ;
