Acer H5380BD

An entry-level 2D and 3D home entertainment projector, the Acer H5380BD offers a low price, 720p HD resolution, and support for 3D with Blu-ray players and other video devices.

Inexpensive. Native 720p resolution. HDMI port supports Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) for easy connection to MHL-enabled mobile devices

Low volume. No 3D glasses included

As the successor to the Acer H5370BD, which is discontinued but still widely available online at this writing, the Acer H5380BD ($549.99) shares the same basic description. It's an entry-level home-entertainment projector for 2D and 3D, and it's a...

If you need a bright, 720 machine, go for this

I think the scare about DLP rainbows is over-hyped. I can see them, but only on a very few scenes and then only if I try.

Very Bright. Long life bulb. 5000hrs. Small and white. Hides easily on the ceiling. MHL HDMI port. Easy to set up, color close to perfect out of the box. No issue with DLP rainbows with me or any of my friends. I purchased this projector for a friend...

Gets hot, but no problems so far

Set for 720p

Once again set your outputs on your sources to the native mode 720p and you should have no issues.

I also bought the last version of this projector so I thought I would comment to balance the negative comment of the other guy who did as well. It has been a great projector with my kids and grandkids running it nonstop for almost 4 years now with no...

For the money absolutely none. Some people seems to have trouble with the earlier model when they ran it as 1080p

amazing

I wanted a project for a long time, so after doing tons of research on them, i thought that the "rainbow effect" would bother me. so when i first bought a projector, i went this the epson home cinema 730hd, which is an LCD projector and supposedly has...

Awesome entry level GAMING projector

I picked this projector up for under 4 bills with a promo code. For that price, this projector simply cannot be beat! The family loves it, even the wife was mondo impressed while watching GoT and the NBA finals on it.

144hz 3D, HDML with MHL, decent response time, bright enough for a family room, & good contrast for the price ; This projector will do true 120hz at 720p resolution! I know it's not 1080p but at 720p. even with a mid-range card. you can turn on ALL the...

excellent

I caught this on sell so I didn’t pay the full retail price. Even if I had paid full price I would have been more than happy. It looks best in a dark room but still looks great with the lights are on as long as the light is not directly in front on the...

Great

Great product, I was very impressed by the image quality for such a large screen.

I sit about 12 feet from the screen. The image is around 100 inches wide and from that distance looks very clear. It is very bright- the room doesn't need to be very dark in order to see well. I don't notice the noise at all. Has an HDMI input

720p. For my setup, 1080p is not worth the bump in price but if you are wanting a very large screen, a 1080p projector would be better. At this price though, this projector is great- I can't see the pixels from my couch
