Acer H6510BD Projector

For those who don't see or don't mind rainbow artifacts, the Acer H6510BD Projector is a potential bargain, with 1080p resolution and full 3D support.

Inexpensive. Native 1080p resolution. Full 3D support for video sources like Blu-ray players and FiOS or cable boxes

Potentially annoying rainbow artifacts. Underpowered audio

The Acer H6510BD Projector is a big step up from the Acer H6500 that it replaces in Acer's line (although the H6500 is still available from various Web sites at this writing). Both offer full HD resolution, at a native 1080p, but the H6510BD is...

Acer H6510BD

The Acer H6510BD projector (or H6510 as we will often call it) is a very small, very bright, home entertainment projector. We believe that projectors such as this Acer, are best in your family room on the table (or even ceiling mounted) or maybe in a...

Plenty of brightness - measured a maximum of over 2800 lumens ; Reasonably good color, right out of the box ; Good looking bright lumens with reasonably good color ; Slightly better than average black levels for the price ; Lamp can be changed without...

Lack of savable User memories. The slightest change wipes out your settings ; Remote control is not backlit ; Black levels are pretty entry level ; Lacks CFI for smooth motion (typical for entry level projectors) ; Reasonably noisy. Not exceptionally...

I am impressed with the Acer H6510BD. Being a bit snobby about black level performance, and also accurate color, I'm always looking down my nose at entry level and near entry level home projectors. They just aren't for me, and don't get me all that...

A flexible and bright projector with a high-quality 2D mode, but 3D lets it down slightly

Average Projector - Not WORTH

USED TO BUY AND RELY ON ACER PRODUCTS, LATELY NOT GOOD, GOT A 8" WIN TABLET SIMILAR ISSUE, RETURNED.

AVERAGE - NOT WORST

POOR PICTURE QUALITY ; CEILING MOUNTING NOT A COMMON and EASY

A Little Disappointed.

I've only tried it out for a day so far. Upgraded from the Acer 5370BD (720p version) which I would easily give 4 or even 5 stars. I was hoping things would match up better and it would just be a swap. Luckily my mount plate holes matched, but the...

1080P and comparatively inexpensive

Mount holes off center and high fan noise when not using eco mode, which means I may never use it or only when using 3D (if I use it), since 3D kills the brightness (each eye doesn't see the full brightness by themselves). I like 3D, just not straining...

acer 6510BD

the picture is bright and crips, so far. almost every feature it has been excellent. with plenty of onscreen settings to fine tune the picture (i didn't need much) its that good ; im running in low lit room 127" away from the screen ; giving me a nice...

the remote control signal seems a little weak. (no big deal)

VERY nice

I did pretty serious research for this purchase, and experience now confirms in my mind that this is the best unit at anywhere NEAR the price point. I waited for the price to go under $700, and when it hit $600 (SHIPPED!) I didn't hesitate for a SECOND.

This unit exceeded my expectations in nearly every respect. The picture quality is OUTSTANDING, the unit runs quietly, and it has ably handled input from both the cable box (HD, of course) and my PC (a fairly high-powered home build). I previously had...

None that I can think of

Great Projector for bright rooms

I upgraded my 8 year old Acer projector just over a month ago and I was blown away by how good this looks. I went with this projector because of the high brightness. I am using this projector in my garage when I have friends over for sporting events....

Bright and sharp picture ; Tons of inputs ; Great price for bright HD and 3d projector

Odd mounting screws if in the USA, 3mm screws

my first projector.. I love it... beats the TV

If you find this around 600 just buy it.. Its a great projector for Home theater for a first timer

Crystal Clear Picture on Blue ray / 1080p You tube streaming / Netflix. Easy to setup. No Noice. Great 3D too. This is the best price I have found for this configuration (1080p 3D DLP) The replacement bulb is not expensive as well. I am glad I bought...

None. May be.. no lens cover. I dont have any

Awesome Projector!

got it for sub $700 price.. and it is worth every penny.. beats owning a 60" cheap LCD for the same price :)

High Brightness ; Nice Color ; I project it on a white wall and it still looks very nice ; Full HD ; Lots of input options

The range of focus and adjustment is not very high (possibly due to lack of lens shift) - but is not even close to being a deal breaker ; Takes slightly long to switch between input sources - or that is just me being picky
