Acer H6510BD Projector

For those who don't see or don't mind rainbow artifacts, the Acer H6510BD Projector is a potential bargain, with 1080p resolution and full 3D support.

Inexpensive. Native 1080p resolution. Full 3D support for video sources like Blu-ray players and FiOS or cable boxes

Potentially annoying rainbow artifacts. Underpowered audio

The Acer H6510BD Projector is a big step up from the Acer H6500 that it replaces in Acer's line (although the H6500 is still available from various Web sites at this writing). Both offer full HD resolution, at a native 1080p, but the H6510BD is...

Acer H6510BD

The Acer H6510BD projector (or H6510 as we will often call it) is a very small, very bright, home entertainment projector. We believe that projectors such as this Acer, are best in your family room on the table (or even ceiling mounted) or maybe in a...

Plenty of brightness - measured a maximum of over 2800 lumens ; Reasonably good color, right out of the box ; Good looking bright lumens with reasonably good color ; Slightly better than average black levels for the price ; Lamp can be changed without...

Lack of savable User memories. The slightest change wipes out your settings ; Remote control is not backlit ; Black levels are pretty entry level ; Lacks CFI for smooth motion (typical for entry level projectors) ; Reasonably noisy. Not exceptionally...

I am impressed with the Acer H6510BD. Being a bit snobby about black level performance, and also accurate color, I'm always looking down my nose at entry level and near entry level home projectors. They just aren't for me, and don't get me all that...

Acer H6510BD projector review

Despite costing just £500, Acer's H6510BD is surprisingly pretty with its angular, minimalist lines and gloss-white finish. Its connections match those of many more expensive PJs too, with HDMI, D-Sub PC, VGA and USB offered.

A budget projector with home cinema ambitions

Incredibly good value, Good pictures for the money, Easy to set up

No vertical image shift, Some rainbow effect, Average black levels

A flexible and bright projector with a high-quality 2D mode, but 3D lets it down slightly

Acer H6510BD

I did wish it had more features like wifi with Netflix but im not sure if I would use those features much.

Great Proj. I have had it projecting on a white wall with no issues. I finally got my screen and its even better! This isn't a terrible proj I was going to get a much more expensive one when I read the tech details and said why not and ordered it. I...

None- just the standard price of bulbs but I haven't had to replace one yet and I have 500 hours on the bulb

Like it so far.

This is my first projector so I really have nothing to compare it to. It was a toss up between this one and the similar BenQ. Price was the bottom line and Newegg put this one on sale when I was ready to buy. I got it yesterday and set it up...

Very bright, quiet, easy to set up and got it on sale from the egg

None so far

Over half year later still going strong

I see people here complaining left and right about this projector. I have not had a problem with it except a few times took a little bit longer than usual to turn on and one time I had to unplug it and replug it back in to behave as normal again. It's...

1080P ; 3D ; 3000Lumens ; 45inch to 300inch projection ; Lots of outputs ; Audio ; Has a good short throw for smaller rooms, quite amazing

Audio is weak for movies - But the PRO is that it has audio out to connect to a sound system or portable speakers ; GETS VERY HOT. Is expected because of the powerful lightbulb, however it worries me of how that affects other on board electrical parts...

Average Projector - Not WORTH

USED TO BUY AND RELY ON ACER PRODUCTS, LATELY NOT GOOD, GOT A 8" WIN TABLET SIMILAR ISSUE, RETURNED.

AVERAGE - NOT WORST

POOR PICTURE QUALITY ; CEILING MOUNTING NOT A COMMON and EASY

A Little Disappointed.

I've only tried it out for a day so far. Upgraded from the Acer 5370BD (720p version) which I would easily give 4 or even 5 stars. I was hoping things would match up better and it would just be a swap. Luckily my mount plate holes matched, but the...

1080P and comparatively inexpensive

Mount holes off center and high fan noise when not using eco mode, which means I may never use it or only when using 3D (if I use it), since 3D kills the brightness (each eye doesn't see the full brightness by themselves). I like 3D, just not straining...
