Acer H6510BD Projector

For those who don't see or don't mind rainbow artifacts, the Acer H6510BD Projector is a potential bargain, with 1080p resolution and full 3D support.

Inexpensive. Native 1080p resolution. Full 3D support for video sources like Blu-ray players and FiOS or cable boxes

Potentially annoying rainbow artifacts. Underpowered audio

The Acer H6510BD Projector is a big step up from the Acer H6500 that it replaces in Acer's line (although the H6500 is still available from various Web sites at this writing). Both offer full HD resolution, at a native 1080p, but the H6510BD is...

Acer H6510BD

The Acer H6510BD projector (or H6510 as we will often call it) is a very small, very bright, home entertainment projector. We believe that projectors such as this Acer, are best in your family room on the table (or even ceiling mounted) or maybe in a...

Plenty of brightness - measured a maximum of over 2800 lumens ; Reasonably good color, right out of the box ; Good looking bright lumens with reasonably good color ; Slightly better than average black levels for the price ; Lamp can be changed without...

Lack of savable User memories. The slightest change wipes out your settings ; Remote control is not backlit ; Black levels are pretty entry level ; Lacks CFI for smooth motion (typical for entry level projectors) ; Reasonably noisy. Not exceptionally...

I am impressed with the Acer H6510BD. Being a bit snobby about black level performance, and also accurate color, I'm always looking down my nose at entry level and near entry level home projectors. They just aren't for me, and don't get me all that...

my first projector.. I love it... beats the TV

If you find this around 600 just buy it.. Its a great projector for Home theater for a first timer

Crystal Clear Picture on Blue ray / 1080p You tube streaming / Netflix. Easy to setup. No Noice. Great 3D too. This is the best price I have found for this configuration (1080p 3D DLP) The replacement bulb is not expensive as well. I am glad I bought...

None. May be.. no lens cover. I dont have any

Awesome Projector!

got it for sub $700 price.. and it is worth every penny.. beats owning a 60" cheap LCD for the same price :)

High Brightness ; Nice Color ; I project it on a white wall and it still looks very nice ; Full HD ; Lots of input options

The range of focus and adjustment is not very high (possibly due to lack of lens shift) - but is not even close to being a deal breaker ; Takes slightly long to switch between input sources - or that is just me being picky

Not hot, but fan sound is high

Read Newegg return policy before you buy. It is not a returnable item. I got burned on this.

It is bright and not getting very hot compared to optoma GT760. It is getting hot around 115 degree Fahrenheit. But I will chose Optoma GT760 compared to this

It makes around 63db sound. I am getting a replacement to see if this sound level is correct or not. It has long throw distance to get a bigger picture

What more can you ask for?

Strongly recommended. Think about it, our eyes cannot see every pixel of a display. Hence, 1920x1080 displaying at about 200-250 (careful not to go over the limit or it'll blur and fade, I did actually went above 300" as advertised, it looks...

1920x1080 is beautiful at about 20-30 feet from my wall ; Looks sharp, attractive, bright, runs cooler than standard projectors, manual focus on the overhead is a big plus, thank that it wasn't automatic focus ; Dual HDMI input is a plus. Got my...

Upgrade from a 9yo BenQ

I put a lot of hours on my old projector, and loved it for what it was...but how far we've come. So bright and crisp, it's everything I hoped it would be and ~$300 less than I paid for the one 9 years ago. (was $580 during black friday deals)

Bright, 1080, 3D (untested, but I like the ability). Best bang for the buck I could find for what I was after

Can't seem to adjust horizontally (ie. needs to be centered). If I'm just missing this feature somewhere someone please correct me

Great First Projector

for 600 to 700 dollars you could get around a 50-60 inch LCD tv -or you can get this projector which i currently have set up to around 130 inches on my wall.

I've done a fair amount of research on projector TVs (Projector Central is a great resource) and this unit is definitely the best all around tv. It has all of the inputs and outputs you need (I am not sure why someone in a review below said there is no...

I really have no cons from personal experience ; one thing people mention often is the 'Rainbow effect' i personally dont notice it, but i am sure is there, simply based on the hardware. Frankly, if you have never heard of the rainbow effect- dont even...

Sweet, cant beat the price

Projector centerals review is spot on for this. I bought my parents the identical projector and they have a screen. The small size of their tv room means the room light can stay on even in eco mode. No issues with either projector. When it goes on sale...

Inexpensive, good lamp life, bright

Color isn't perfect, didn't expect it nor do I care I project on a wall at my apt
