Acer H6510BD Projector

For those who don't see or don't mind rainbow artifacts, the Acer H6510BD Projector is a potential bargain, with 1080p resolution and full 3D support.

Inexpensive. Native 1080p resolution. Full 3D support for video sources like Blu-ray players and FiOS or cable boxes

Potentially annoying rainbow artifacts. Underpowered audio

The Acer H6510BD Projector is a big step up from the Acer H6500 that it replaces in Acer's line (although the H6500 is still available from various Web sites at this writing). Both offer full HD resolution, at a native 1080p, but the H6510BD is...

Acer H6510BD

The Acer H6510BD projector (or H6510 as we will often call it) is a very small, very bright, home entertainment projector. We believe that projectors such as this Acer, are best in your family room on the table (or even ceiling mounted) or maybe in a...

Plenty of brightness - measured a maximum of over 2800 lumens ; Reasonably good color, right out of the box ; Good looking bright lumens with reasonably good color ; Slightly better than average black levels for the price ; Lamp can be changed without...

Lack of savable User memories. The slightest change wipes out your settings ; Remote control is not backlit ; Black levels are pretty entry level ; Lacks CFI for smooth motion (typical for entry level projectors) ; Reasonably noisy. Not exceptionally...

I am impressed with the Acer H6510BD. Being a bit snobby about black level performance, and also accurate color, I'm always looking down my nose at entry level and near entry level home projectors. They just aren't for me, and don't get me all that...

Acer H6510BD projector review

Despite costing just £500, Acer's H6510BD is surprisingly pretty with its angular, minimalist lines and gloss-white finish. Its connections match those of many more expensive PJs too, with HDMI, D-Sub PC, VGA and USB offered.

Acer H6510BD review

A flexible and bright projector with a high-quality 2D mode, but 3D lets it down slightly

Awesome

Bright screen even at 50% brightness setting. Very clear and sharp at 17 feet which makes for a 10'x6' screen. A major upgrade from the last version of this Acer projector H6510BD. Runs much cooler than previous model

I'd like it to be able to change the size of the screen at even 17 feet away. Previous model allowed this

Works like a champ

For the money I've spent, I'm very happy. I have gamed on this for hours, watched many HD 60fps movies, and I will probably never buy another TV for the living room. I had no idea the projectors had come so far. My only other concern is how long the...

I move around a lot. Moving big high fidelity screens is a pain. I had no idea projectors had come this far. I'll never buy another TV. Now to address some of my concerns ; It's Very Bright ; Mounting was easy ; Quiet fan ; Light and easy to carry...

I'm sure this is the same with most projectors, but the Keystone adjustment is digital (not a physical adjustment in the lens or mirror). This means the more extreme the angle adjusted, you will loose a little quality because it scales down. It's best...

Acer H6510BD

I bought the extra warranty instead of returning it. Fingers crossed. It's also worth noting that the projector was shipped in its retail box. Newegg verified via email that is how they are sent.

It works as advertised. I've owned this for a short time, but I can certainly agree with most of the great reviews. I've used this product every day since receiving it and have had no problems. My expectations were certainly met

A year from now, I might be able to give this product 5 eggs. But for now, here is my issue with the product. The box sent to me had security stickers placed over the original factory tape. The box had obviously been opened before being sent. The...

HUGE DISPLAY!

If you can get this on sale (like I did) I recommend it, gaming / watching movies is an entirely new experience! now I just have to get a surround sound system!

Huge Screen ; It displays on my white wall perfectly <3 ; I have it on the lowest size ; Focusing the screen is easy / straightforward ; My first projector, I haven't replaced the bulb yet but it seems to be easy to do ; Most Importantly, It looks...

Runs a little hot but that's expected ; Finding a projector screen is hard / expensive (though white walls work well ) ; The legs aren't all adjustable, making it somewhat hard to angle, I don't know why they went with 2 of 3 legs being adjustable,...
