Acer H7531D

If you're looking for a home theater or home entertainment projector and you're on a tight budget, the Acer H7531D ($1,029 list) is a more than reasonable possibility. Built around a DLP chip, the H7531D offers 1080p resolution and a 2,000 lumen...

Inexpensive. Native 1080p resolution. Reasonably high-quality image

No audio output. Auto iris adjusts to changes in brightness slowly enough to be annoying

The Acer H7531D 1080p home theater projector does a credible job for the price as an entry level choice, but won't satisfy more demanding users.

Acer H7531D Review

At less than a thousand bucks, the Acer H7531D is another entry level 1080p option, but not our favorite in the group...

The Acer H7531D is the only 1080p projector we've seen recently under $1000 to feature an auto iris, and black level in dark scenes is excellent as a result. It is also a very bright projector, lending itself well to non-traditional applications such...

Great connectivity, but picture quality lets the H7531D down

At £750, the H7531D is fairly inexpensive for a 1080p projector. It lacks some of the more advanced features of the more expensive competition, but has everything you would want for a home cinema. However, you're better off spending £10 more on the

Contrast is great ; Much less noise than the 720p model (especially in eco mode) ; using a true 24 fs makes a big difference in action movies

Would have preferred it go to 120 Hz so I at least had the option of 3D

DLP for the win ... or not?

I am on the whole quite satisfied with the projector's performance.

Great stuff for the price. Automatic keystone cuts down on a lot of fiddling

I was hoping for blacks that could go far lower than LCD. While it seems DLP is quite a bit better than LCD, it's not like "wow, amazing, problem solved." It is better, but not a whole lot better. Which is somewhat of a bummer considering the high...

Acer H7531D

Great projector for the price. I have it ceiling mounted displaying on an 82" screen. I keep it running in eco mode and almost prefer the image quality this way. Much quieter too but overall, its not very loud. Use it for gaming, movies, and as an...

I was skeptical about getting such a low end (HD 1080p) DLP projector. Low end to the effect of quality vs price. "Rainbow effect" seems like a hit or miss with some people. Unfortunately I'm able to see it and its definitely noticeable with this...

Good picture, no complaints so far

I'm very happy with the picture I got for the price, and am currently using it with a Pioneer VSX-921K receiver, which I also recommend if you are building a home theater.

Very nice picture, even in the bulb saving mode (although I have it in a room with pretty good light control). I've used it for about 300 hours of viewing (as indicated by the bulb timer in the projector menu) and haven't had any issues so far....

Colors are visibly off quite a bit in pretty much every preset mode on my white da-lite screen (even though it allows you to choose from multiple screen colors). It was fairly easy to calibrate to where it looks correct by manually adjusting levels,...

Great projector, especially for the price

This is my first projector, so I'm sure there are people who are much more picky than I am, but for the price this projector is fantastic. This is one of the cheapest 1080p projectors on the market today and the picture is jaw dropping good. I...

Excellent picture out of the box. Everybody who comes over to see it is very impressed with the picture. I'm sure the picture would be even better if I calibrated it, but it looks so good right now that I don't really see the need to tweak anything ;...

Really is no flexibility in placement. My screen had to be in a pretty specific place, so the projector has to be mounted in a very specific place. I measured very carefully but somehow didn't get it quite right because the image keystone is a little...

Great, low price, full-HD projector...

I've had the projector for a couple of months now and have watched many Bluray movies so far. Crisp, clear and great blacks are the highlights. It's an excellent projector that I plan to enjoy for many years to come
