Acer K132

The Acer K132 is a small and lightweight data projector with decent image quality and a relatively sparse set of connection choices.

Very compact. Featherweight. HDMI-in port. Long lamp life. 3D capable

Feeble sound system. No audio-out port. Limited connectivity choices. Best used in a small, dark room

The Acer K132 is perhaps the lightest 500-lumen projector we've encountered, weighing in at less than a pound and not much more when the power adapter is added. Acer describes this projector as being a good fit for frequent business travelers. Its...

Acer K132 LED DLP Projector Review

Review: The diminutive Acer K132 LED DLP projector uses an LED light source. That's not amazing in and of itself, except that it boasts 500 lumens of output-plenty enough for home theater use.

Best in price range

No better projector in its price range. I bought it as a starter, but I may also travel with it. It's usable in a lit room, but looks better in a dark room. The included MHL cable doesn't work with my Samsung phone and tablet. I used a different MHL...

Inexpensive ; Small ; Lightweight ; Not loud

Sometimes goes out of focus, but not so much anymore ; I wish it was 1080P; the upscaled resolution looks blurry so I keep it on native ; The speakers are not worth mentioning

Best bang-for-buck projector

Would buy another one in a heart-beat.

I've had this projector for 3 months (use it 2-3 hours per day) now and am super pleased! I did a ton of research and kept an eye on prices for close to a year before getting the K132. Spec for spec, this projector is the best bang for your buck. The...

The only qualm I have is that it would've been a bonus to have an audio-out on the projetor. This isn't an issue however if you're using this at home for a home-theater projector set-up as you can output the sound directly from your blu-ray player to...

Acer K132 (MR.JGN11.00J)

For people looking at this as a cheap 3D solution.. I would honestly NOT let that make your decision here. It can only produce 3D at 1024x768 resolution or lower. So if you put it up on a large surface it looks pretty darn blurry and dark. The 3D depth...

Lumens vs Price is best in its class ; 3D Ready (requires DLP glasses and 3D playback software) ; Good Throw Distance, 90' from about 10ft away ; Compact and light weight ; HDMI 1.4 support ; I got this on sale for $349 and at that price I feel its a...

Focus issues (read below) ; Remote is pretty bad ; 3D is.. OK-ish ; Will not stay in focus!.. I thought at first that the adjustment lever was just stiff from being new so I slid it back and forth 15 or 20 times to break it in. So far it hasn't done...

Great little projector

Bought as a basic projector for home movies/games. Looked at previous generation led projectors and glad I waited for this one (K132). Has better contrast and brighter. Previously owned a bulb style projector... It's projecting a clear 10ft wide image...

In a Dark room ; Quality image ; Adjustable image ; Small size ; Small price ; estimated long life ; Mobile/quick setup

Not usable outside of a dark setting ; Focus can be set but challenging ; 3d is only in 1024x762 format (old pc monitor ratio) ; Remote is finicky

Excellent projector

I watch a 92 inch screen at a distance of 13 feet, and the brightness seems just right in a darkened room. This setup gives me a viewing angle of 29 degrees, which I think is an good compromise between screen size and visual acuity. Standard definition...

I bought this projector for watching movies at home, replacing a 720p darkchip3 projector that died. I was attracted to it's low cost, nice specifications, long lamp life and theoretically higher reliability compared to traditional DLP. I'd say the...

Lower sharpness when fed native resolution due to the diamond pixel configuration. Because the pixels are not on a rectangular grid the signal must be resampled, reducing sharpness. This effect can be reduced for video, static images and powerpoint by...

Great Item!

In the user manual, they mention a K135 version that supports wifi...interesting.

Light and compact ; Easy to setup ; Clear and relatively bright pictures ; MHL works for GS3/4, but need 11pin to 5pin adapter ; Quiet, but gets a little bit warm after 10+ minutes ; Start up time is fast and shutdown time is even faster

The multipurpose port doesn't do anything and the manufacturer doesn't sell any cable that plugs into it
