Great projector

Had shopped for a projector on and off for a couple of years. Looking for something to watch TV sporting events and movies on. I'm not someone who has to buy the absolute $best$. I just want something that performs great and is a good value. Had...

BenQ W1060 review

BenQ's W1060 is a slick and stylish machine with a chassis that whets the appetite for some spectacular cinema-honed visuals.

Average pictures ; No obvious DLP rainbow effect

Poor black level ; Modest throw ratio ; Fine detail could be better

BenQ W1060 projector review

This well-specified but inexpensive 1080p DLP projector could have many potential system upgraders considering projection for the first time. After all, for the cost of a 46in LED TV you could be enjoying images three times the size. It's a tempting...

Funky design; Full HD resolution; easy to use; colour-rich imagery; plenty of inputs

Limited motion resolution; weak onboard loudspeaker; doesn’t deliver true black

BenQ W1060

BenQ is out to shake up the projector market with this sub-£700 DLP offering.

Great price ; Pretty design ; Bright colourful pictures suited to ambient light viewing

Black levels very average ; Rainbow effect ; Shimmering effect over small details

Best in Test!

BenQ W1060 review

BenQ has impressed us with some fantastic mid-range projectors in the past, so we were expecting good things from the W1060. The sleek white and silver chassis looks great from any angle, and isn't so large that you'll struggle to find a place for it.

Everything you’d want from a mid-range projector, including great picture quality, an excellent warranty and competitive price

A solid effort for big-picture on a budget

Great price, easy to set-up ; two HDMI inputs ; natural colours ; good detail

Hints of noise ; motion isn’t perfect

BenQ W1060: Picture quality X-Men: First Class is a fine test disc, with a good mix of dark and bright scenes, fast motion and punchy colours. And the BenQ does pretty well. The colour balance is natural, with refined colours. Black levels are...

BenQ W1060 Projector Review

Projectors are being bought nowadays for a whole range of reasons, whether it is for home entertainment systems, presentations or just projecting your PC display on to your wall. The projector we've got to review today is the BenQ W1060, which is...

The bottom of the BenQ W1060 features four rubber feet to keep the unit from slipping. On the underside, at the front, there’s also a small leg that can be extended to allow the projector to be lifted slightly, just in case you don’t have anything tall...

BenQ W1060

Bought as a replacement for an old 720P projector - amazing diffference. Can comfortably watch TV in full ambient daylight on a 84" diagonal 16:9 screen (no direct sunlight on screen but curtains open)

When showing pictures of "blacked out" areas (e.g. audiences in snooker) the black can come across very blueish when the source is coming from a video feed rather than full HDMI
