Epson, one of the leading names in 3LCD display technology, have come out with a new consumer oriented Home projector model called the EH-DM3. It does the pleasingly satisfying task of combining 2 forms of related tech into one, meaning lesser headache...

Conclusion The projector costs Rs. 49,990 which is tad pricey, even considering it's got a built in drive. The contrast and colors could have been a little more bang on, then the model would be a great choice. It still is nice for the built in sound...

Very good built-in speakers, inbuilt DVD player with good picture quality

Slightly expensive, poor stand

The Epson EH-DM3 may be a bit pricey but it does sufficient justice to its claim of being a home theatre projector, and it comes equipped with all the necessary features -- not to mention a very good pair of built-in speakers.

It's amazing how much tech Epson have managed to fit in the EH-DM3

Surprising audio power ; Easy to set up ; DivX & MP3 playback

Average contrast ; Motion blur

Trying to make a projector portable is no easy task and this one is best left alone once you've found it a home and tweaked the settings. But this cleverly designed device will perfectly suit undemanding users looking for an occasional projector.

Epson EH-DM3 LCD Projector

Epson's EH-DM3 LCD projector aims to fulfil the needs of the casual user/gaming market.

The nerdy home cinema fan in me still revolts at the very idea of the DM3. A projector that's designed to work best in ambient light, has precious few optical image adjustments, runs noisily and delivers fundamentally average pictures in the dark? Yikes.

The Epson EH-DM3 is a home theater projector. It has a DVD player and onboard audio speakers, making it an out-of-the-box device.

Very good movie playback ; Very good onboard sound ; Lots of connectivity ports ; DVD Drive ; Auto keystone ; Full-HD support

No MKV support ; Cranky stands

This is no business projector, focusing only on multimedia content. At Rs. 49,900, the Epson EH-DM3 may be a bit pricey but it does sufficient justice to its claim of being a home theater projector, and comes equipped with all the necessary...
