Epson EH-TW9000W review

So, dear, you want to spend how much on a 'home cinema'?

Excellent image quality ; WirelessHD works well ; Stereoscopic 3D support ; Low noise levels ; Full lens control

Noticeable input lag ; Reduced frame-rate for 3D ; Price

Epson EH-TW9000W review

Packing a wireless HDMI connection, this Epson is easy to set up and use, as well as a more than competent performer

Fine picture performance ; ease of set-up ; reassuring build ; wireless connection

Slight drop in picture quality when wireless ; less insight than class leaders

If that wireless connection is a must, buy with confidence

Epson EH-TW9000W

Epson's long-awaited 3D projectors are finally here. So we thought we'd start at the top, by testing the flagship EH-TW9000W

3D pictures look bright ; Good Design ; Excellent 2D pictures

Some crosstalk over backgrounds with 3D ; Focus slips occasionally ; It’s a touch noisy in ‘Normal’ brightness mode

Epson EH-TW9000W

With aggressive pricing, excellent performance and WirelessHD, the Epson EH-TW9000W home theatre projector is a high-quality bargain.

Excellent value for money ; Very strong 2D performance ; Strong 3D performance ; WirelessHD can be useful

Still some 3D crosstalk ; Silly overscan default for SD signals

The Epson EH-TW9000W is a classy bit of gear with generally good performance and the startling new feature of WirelessHD, yet at a price at the lower end of what's available. This ought to be a good seller.

Epson EH-TW9000W 3D AV projector

Epson’s top-of-the-line home projector is now under $4000, yet offers 3D, wireless HDMI and a three-year warranty. It’s incredible.
