Epson Home Cinema 5030UBe LCD 3D Projector Review

For 2014, Epson has refreshed all their Home Cinema projectors with incremental performance upgrades. Contrast is greater and black levels are lower thanks to tweaks in the 3-chip D9 LCD light engine. The tremendous light output in both 2D and 3D makes...

High contrast and accurate color ; Sharp image with plenty of depth ; Lots of light output ; WirelessHD makes installation easier ; Wide zoom and lens shift range ; Terrific value

The Home Cinema 5030UBe really has no flaws of consequence. It’s an exceptionally bright projector with excellent optics and accurate color. Installation in a wide variety of environments is possible thanks to flexible lens controls and a set of...

Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 5030UB review: Projector's pretty picture hits high and low notes

Among the handful of projectors we reviewed last year, Epson's 5020UB was our favorite, earning the Editors' Choice badge for its combination of picture quality and value. Yes, there are better projectors (for more money) and less expensive projectors...

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 5030UB projector can deliver great dark-room images yet has enough light output for moderately lit rooms; achieves darker blacks than last year's version; excellent color accuracy; ample shadow detail; plenty of features...

Black levels not quite as deep as somewhat more expensive D-ILA competitors; auto iris required for peak performance.

The Epson 5030UB projector is better then ever, with excellent picture quality for the money and class-leading light output, making it shine in both dark and moderately lit rooms.

Epson PowerLite D6155W WXGA 3LCD Projector

The Epson PowerLite D6155W WXGA 3LCD Projector delivers near-excellent data image quality with a suitable brightness for a midsize conference room or classroom.

Bright. 1.6x zoom lens. Near-excellent data image quality. Watchable video

Notably low contrast ratio. No 3D support

If you're looking for a WXGA (1,280 by 800) projector for a midsize conference room or classroom, the Epson PowerLite D6155W WXGA 3LCD Projector is a good place to start. Epson's website lists it as a large-venue model, but as with the lower resolution...

Epson PowerLite D6155W WXGA 3LCD Projector

The Epson PowerLite D6155W WXGA 3LCD Projector delivers near-excellent data image quality with a suitable brightness for a midsize conference room or classroom.

The D6155W’s data image quality is close to excellent, with only minor issues turning up in our standard suite of DisplayMate tests. It delivered vibrant, saturated color in all of its preset modes, and good color balance, with suitably neutral gray at...

"Best set of features for the price"

I've owned both this model and the previous model 8500UB. When they come out with a 4K in the series, I'll probably upgrade to that too!

Nice blacks, high res, good brightness for even moderately lit rooms

Proprietary glasses required for 3D (normal)

This projector has Theatre, presentation & dynamic color modes that will satisfy all your video needs. For the price, you can't beat it!!!

This projector has beautiful color. You have absolute control with the remote during setup. The machine runs silently during low power and during hi power it is bare heard. This is one muscle machine with all its optional input, output video ports

Amazing quality for the price

We've had this projector for a little over a month now and we could not be happier. It is in a dedicated 14x18 theater room without windows projecting onto a Monoprice 106" screen. The picture is beautiful in both 2D and 3D Blu-ray and from the boys...
