A flawed but inexpensive projector.

Higher than normal zoom, long-lasting lamp

Artefacts on S-Video and composite signals, very vivid colour, loud fan

Epson Dreamio EMP-TW10H

Epson's TW10H projector tempts us to stay indoors all winter and experience widescreen theatre from the comfort of the living room. Read our Australian review.

Solid design

Fiddly legs

Using the Dreamio EMP-TW10H is a good way to enjoy widescreen DVDs at home. Compared to the high price of plasma screens, this AU$1,999 projector is an economical way of experiencing theatre at home on a budget.

Epson TW10H

Not long ago I reviewed the Epson TW200, a mid priced projector that tried (but didn't quite manage) to compete with similarly priced LCD and DLP competition (namely Infocus Screenplay 4805 and the Panasonic PT-AE500/700)

Provided you don't push the boundaries on screen size and are prepared to spend some time "fine-tuning" colours, the 10H will provide you with an inexpensive step into the world of front projection.

Epson - EMP-TW10H

"Great budget projector"

This is a great projector for those on a budget and the lamps are relatively cheap. The picture is good and it's quiet if you use it in theatre mode. It's best in darker rooms. A good value projector.

"Incredible value"

This is an amazing projector for the money. Great colour, sharp pictures and minimal "screen door" effect. It's quiet and easy to use. Only the remote lets it down - not a big problem in the scheme of things.

Epson EMP-TW10

My first venture into home cinema projectors, I picked this Epson based on good feedback from the avforums site. I'm not disappointed, it's an excellent projector, easy to use, set up, and to my eyes, produces a great image in a dark room.
