For the traveling business presenter or multimedia performance artist, Epson's PowerLite 76c is a cost-effective projector.

Epson America Epson Powerlite 76C Projector

The Epson PowerLite 76c ($999, as of January 18, 2006) is a fine choice for budget-minded business buyers who also want a crossover unit for home use. Rated at 2000 lumens, this 5.7-pound LCD model is bright enough for use in small and medium-size...

Bargain price ; No fan cool down required

Image quality is pedestrian

The remote includes digital zoom, a pointer (with three different shapes), and a convenient picture mode button for cycling through the many preset choices. Another convenience is a help button that tells you which adjustments to use to correct any...

A low price and numerous features make this model rise to the top; however, its text and graphics images could be sharper.

Epson PowerLite 76c

Although the Epson PowerLite 76c ($999 direct) offers XGA (1,024-by-768) resolution where the PowerLite S3 is just a VGA (1,024-by-768) projector, the two are similar in spirit. Both come at budget prices without serious corner-cutting. They're also...

Reasonably bright. Very good image quality. Relatively light weight. Low price for the resolution. Well-designed onscreen menus

Needed manual adjustment of the image in our tests. The remote is hard to use

There are lots of reason to like the 76c, not the least of which is its price.

Epson PowerLite 76c LCD Projector (1024x768, 2000 Lumens, 400:1, HDTV Compatible)

Bought this about 3 weeks ago and have been using it for our church on Wednesday nights. It has been everything I expected in a value projector! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a basic projector with all the necessary features.

Price, brightness(lumens), ease of use, no on/off switch, fast lamp cooling, zoom, high resolution (XGA) zoom & focus lens control, keystone, relatively quiet

Nothing considering the price

Epson PowerLite 76c LCD Projector (1024x768, 2000 Lumens, 400:1, HDTV Compatible)

I just bought 4 of these for a training center, and I will probably be buying more of them in the future. Some of the projectors will be ceiling-mounted and others will travel. With the limited time we've been using them, they have been great. They're...

Affordable, lightweight, bright, intuitive menus, extra care road service, padded case, competitively priced bulbs

Slightly larger than some other models

Epson PowerLite 76c LCD Projector (1024x768, 2000 Lumens, 400:1, HDTV Compatible)

I highly recommend the Powerlite 76c for a home theator setting. I have had the unit for two months and it has exceeded my expectations. There are higher quality products on the market for a higher price. However, if you are looking for an above...

This product has exceeded my expectations. The quality is superior to comparable brands. If you are looking for a bright, clear and reliable projector, buy the Powerlite 76c

I have not identified any weaknesses with the projector yet

Im happy with it

I like it, I'm happy with it, with there were more inputs but oh well. I made it work. For a office use projector it does awesome for all around use.

Extremely bright image. Actually turned it down to the lower lumens and it's still bright. I'm curious as to how long the lamp will last. Roommates are just chewing it away playing XBOX 360 through VGA HD! It's awesome! Movies look outstanding, HD or...

Remote has some button issues. As long as I can turn it on and off I'm happy. Limited inputs but it's not designed for home theatre as much as it is office
