Review: Epson Home Cinema 720 Home Theater Projector

Once you start up the Cinema 720, it is immediately obvious that it is a very bright projector. Our test sample, when used in "Dynamic" mode, produced a maximum of 1453 ANSI lumens. "Living Room" mode measured 727 ANSI lumens, "Natural" weighed in at...

Epson Home Cinema 720

After a few days of watching, and also mostly avoiding the 1080p projectors, my perspective seems to have returned. In a nutshell, Epson has a solid entry, that is both bright, and extremely sharp, with a very crisp looking, and highly dynamic picture...

Very bright projector overall ; Best in class warranty and support ; Most flexible of the 720p projectors in placement flexibility, very practical for shelf mounting in the back of your room ; Very sharp image ; Rich saturated colors ; Many preset...

A bit noisy (audibly) in brighter modes (though typical of DLP projectors) ; Living room mode needs major work (adjusting) for good colors ; Black levels are not as good as most of the competition ; To replace lamp, you'll have to unmount projector if...

This Epson is destined to be a top selling projector with wide appeal, and solid performance and deservedly so. The Home Cinema 720 rates our Hot Product Award, for the reasons a projector should strive for; appeal to a large segment of the buying...

Bright, bold and beautiful color out of the box, an easy set up

I bought this knowing my panasonic AE900's lamp was soon needing replacing and convinced my wife to this upgrade and I am so glad I did. What a picture! The only adjustment was to select the mode and pop in a Blu Ray. Fantastic even at 720p.

Set up is easy, remote is intuitive and easy to use

None so far; would not recognize PS3 via HDMI but a quick call to tech support fixed it

When I say i want a BIG SCREEN, I mean 156" BIG

40" is the new small If you're in the market for a new TV and you're looking at a 40" or larger screen, it's time to sit down and do some serious thinking. For less than the price of a 52" TV, you can transform your living room wall into a movie screen...

Cheaper than a 52" TV, but 9x as big. Lens shift+zoom allow placement anywhere

Not quite the resolution of 1080p. Lens adjustments are manual

For the ultimate home theater experience, the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 720 is an immersive, high-quality projector that you can place virtually anywhere in any room.

I recently moved my theater to a new room and had to mount my Epson HC 720 projector to the ceiling. I looked at a bunch of mounts, but didn't like any of the universal types. I found this one on Amazon and looked at their home website...wow, a...

I purchased this projector from Amazon to replace my old projector which had failed. My concern was that I might need to move my mount and cabling because the old projector had to be at a specific distance from the screen to fill the screen. The...

Amazing

I set up a home theather last year, and had budbeted about $3,000 for the TV component. As I shopped, the largest Plazmas were about 60-65 inches and would use at entire budget plus. Same basic price for a 1080p projectors at the time. Then I had a...
