Infocus X9 DLP Projector

It's time once again to review a serious brand of projectors. Today we are covering a DLP model by Infocus - Infocus X9. It is a mid segment projector, and judging by past performances by other Infocus models, we hope to be seeing some serious lumen...

The Infocus X9 video projector’s MRP is Rs. 99,999, while the MOP is Rs. 80,000. The price is not cheap but I would have to give the benefit of doubt to the projector itself. It’s a very good performer, in terms of brightness and contrast, a true...

InFocus X9

The X9 is a very interesting projector. It seems to me that InFocus has realized that in the entry level 720p projector space, there is room for a very bright home theater projector that will work well in family rooms, bonus rooms, and other less than...

No RGB grayscale balance controls for the enthusiast who wants to get the best possible calibration of the image ; Credit card remote is small, possibly easy to misplace (check those sofa cushions first, if it's missing) ; Projector is dependent on the...

The X9, will likely prove a very successful entry, that will woo many who otherwise would just walk into Best Buy and buy an LCDTV or Plasma, and never get to enjoy the sensation of a movie, favorite TV program, or sporting event on the large screen....

Amazing projector

The range is a bit weird. It seems the further back you go the lower it has to be. I've been struggling with good places to place the projector so it is not in the way and still projects perfectly. Your best bet would be a ceiling mount.

This projector is very crisp and bright. The picture is amazing on it. I have it just projecting onto a white wall and it looks very good in both darkness and light. Amazingly it doesn't seem to run as hot as an older projector I used to run

Only the feet on the front and the back right can be raised. Why all three cannot I am not sure

Great Projector for all types of uses

Great Projector for all types of uses

I have had this projector for about 6 mo now and could not be more pleased. The picture quality is top-notch (especially with PS3 games and blu-ray). I had it set up in a large room, brightly and clearly displaying a 130" screen. Even on a textured,...

Small, 720p native resolution, good brightness and colour accuracy

Slim remote is easy to lose - and is necessary for control

As an entry level home theatre projector, the InFocus X9 impressed us. Its small size means that it is easily portable for showing off to your friends, while its high brightness and good colour accuracy means it is versatile enough to be used in a...

InFocus X9 projector review

When you find a projector under £500, if you're a home cinema enthusiast (but without a home cinema enthusiast budget), your first reaction will always be a sigh as you think of those £1500 models that your new purchase just won't live up to. Well the...

For under £500, this really is value for money

720p instead of 1080p, limited image controls

There is little to dislike about the X9 and the price is compelling, even in this economic climate

Projectors used to be a premium proposition. So, just how good is one costing less than £500?

Small but perfectly formed, the X9 isn’t for everyone but if you’re pushed for space and money, it's a fine solution

Infocus X9 review

InFocus's X9 is a DLP projector that looks remarkably similar in design to Acer's H5350 and shares a similarly fiddly remote control.

Compact and versatile; short throw ratio; a solid all-round performance-per-pound projector
