Just add sound and a movie
A brilliant home cinema projector that offers visuals to die for. Its US $5000 cost is also quite digestible considering its brilliant 300-inch capabilities

3M's MPro110 is the second ultra-portable projector to find its way into the WinLabs and, like the Optoma Pico PK101, is designed for business professionals
3M's first ultra-portable falls short of the mark due to its basic performance, iffy build and high price.

Like BenQ's MP771 (also reviewed on ITP.net), Optoma's new EX525ST projector is designed to create large projections without needing to be placed a distance away from the target area.
An attractively priced short throw lens DLP projector that performs very well without kicking up much of a racket.

BenQ's MP771 is just what the doctor ordered, if you're looking for a projector that can produce large projections, without being too far from the target surface.
While pricey, the BenQ is top-notch when it comes to producing large displays in confined spaces.

We used the Blu-ray version of Casino Royale to test the projector's movie capabilities. Running at 720p, the Hitachi stunned us with its clarity. Every tiny detail was easily visible and thanks to the enhanced resolution, which ultimately means more ...
Strong brightness, HD ready, silent operation, aggressive price tag.
Blacks not quite black enough.
Thanks to its 3LCD projection engine, the Hitachi is capable of quality overall projections. Although like most LCD-based displays, blacks are its weak point.

With its 2000 ANSI Lumens brightness rating, the PJ402D was also quite bright though being a DLP model it wasn't as bright as some of its LCD counterparts reviewed last issue. (DLP projection engines generally aren't as bright as their LCD ...
Presenting is easy thanks to its strong DLP engine and laser pointer. It's just not the lightest around.

The DX130 is quite compact, measuring 260 x 205 x 67mm (W x D x H) and it weighs only 1.9kg. This isn't a huge surprise as DLP projectors are generally smaller and lighter than their LCD brethren. Thus positioning this unit in your living room and, if ...
A solid home cinema buy, though it would have been even better with a HDMI port included.

The Panasonic has portability covered as well as it's the second smallest model in this grouptest. (BenQ's CP120 does have a slightly smaller footprint but both projectors weigh the same.) Our only issue is that it isn't very bright lumens-wise. While ...
Thanks to its low price tag, excellent standalone SD feature and good performance the Panasonic is an excellent value buy for traveling professionals.
