JVC DLA-X30 3D LCOS Projector

Last May, I had the pleasure of reviewing the first 3D projector offered from JVC, the DLA-X3. At just under $4,500, it represented an amazing balance of value and performance. This year, JVC has made some radical changes to its projection line,...

JVC DLA-X30 3D LCOS Projector

The DLA-X30 is a 3-chip, 1080p, 3D projector that uses three of JVC's D-ILA panels. D-ILA is JVC's take on Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS), which is also what Sony uses with its SXRD variant. This is a reflective technology that has a higher fill...

JVC DLA-X30 3D Home Theater Video Projector Review

3D performance that really delivers on a variety of screen materials, Top of the line 2D performance at a mid level price, Phenomenal color rendering, Truly deep blacks, Subtle shadow detail, Natural, lifelike skin tones, Powerful User friendly menu...

Emitter and 3D glasses are not included with the projector and are sold as optional add-ons, JVC 3D glasses are not cheap, No 15pin D-Sub input. Only a problem if your PC doesn’t support HDMI or DVI.

Verdict: Definite buy! JVC’sDLA-X30 is JVC’s entry level projector in a power house family of home theatre projectors. Loaded with features and incredibly easy to install, the DLA-X30 is an incredible projector at an even more incredible price point....

JVC DLA-X30 Review

The DLA-X30 continues the JVC tradition of ultra-deep black levels and refined 2D home theater performance.

JVC DLA-X30 review

The JVC's 2D picture is spectacular, but things could be better with 3D

Effortless set-up ; vivid colours, sharp edges ; insightful detail

Motion issues ; 3D performance isn’t great

Seriously impressive for a £3k picture, especially in 2D

JVC DLA-X30B

With the 3D projection world on fire right now, can JVC's latest entry level projector, the DLA-X30, still cling on to the brand's usual quality advantage?

Excellent all-round picture performance ; Runs almost silently ; Awesome value

No proper colour management system ; Uninspiring 3D glasses ; 3D picture presets don’t automatically kick in

Even Better Than My High Expectations

Did lots of research before selecting the JVC, with the Epson 5010 and the Panasonic 7000U coming in a close second. Picked the JVC because all the professional reviews I read said its picture quality was the best in its price class. As a result I had...

Crisp whites deep blacks, Zoom focus user-friendly, Excellent contrast, Rep David Strauss great, Easy To Setup, Most film-like projector, Good Focus, Bright sharp picture

Manual could be better
