Optoma HD67N review

Effective 3D projector system for a reasonable price, let down by poor glasses

Expert review by:

Optoma HD67N / 3D-XL

Three dimensions work best on a cinema-sized screen where the format is more immersive and ultimately more convincing. While a 3D TV promises a peek through a dimensional window, cinema opens the doors and drags you inside.

Bright, vibrant colours ; Neat design ; Compatible with DLP-Link 3D-XL 3D adaptor

Noisy ; 720p resolution only ; Hobbled by poor (optional) eyewear

Meanwhile, limitations with the black level and resolution exclude the HD67N from being an ideal home cinema projector, though as an affordable big-screen solution for gamers and sports fans, it's rather good fun.

Optoma HD67N review

Most home cinema projectors have a Full HD resolution of 1080p to match the resolution of Blu-ray movies, but the Optoma HD67N has a resolution of 1,280x720 (720p). This helps keep the price of the projector down, making it look like an appealing...

It's 3D ready, but you can't watch movies on it without an additional box, while the annoying rainbow effect and low resolution detract from it.
