Brightness, for many, is a key performance feature, especially those needing to deal with some ambient light, especially for those without the classic dedicated theater room. Brightness is not the only strength of the HD71. I found the HD71 to perform wel...

Excellent Brightness Brightest of 720p home theater projectors in best mode, and one of the Brightest overall picture Good overall performance after basic adjustments Good selection of inputs (including HDMI 1.3 with Deep Color support, and DVI ) Supports...

Very limited zoom lens No lens shift basicElement Needs calibration to get best results manual comes on disc, no hard copy A fan noise is louder than most projectors, although not exceptionally so

This is really a good, moderately inexpensive causal 720p projector for movie viewing and TV / HDTV / Sports. For those looking for the absolute best projector for pure movie watching, they will likely favor another projector. But the HD71 should be great...

Good brand

By teehee (newegg.com)

I'd buy this over any LCD and plasma anytime. Also, I find using a brand name HDMI cable like Monster had a bit advantage over color compare to really cheap cable. Be smart, you don't have to buy those cable brand new. Auction site is your source.

It's hotter than the latest graphic card, maybe the cooling fan is a bit small. Not include ceiling mounting.

Displays 1920x1080. Great contrast even in a lighted room. I was expecting the fan to be very loud based on several reviews I read, but I don't notice it.

The only real complaint I have about this is with the ImageAI. While it does make a pleasant difference in the quality of the image, the change in brightness is very abrupt and noticeable when a movie switches from a dim to a bright scene. It was enough t...

Bright Projector

By unforgiven (newegg.com)

This projector was best described as a light cannon. i tried it during the day with the lights on and windows open. ambient light does not affect the picture. its atleast twice as bright as your average projector. if your looking for a bright veristile pr...

Bright. A good selection of inputs. DLP. Internal speaker. Good picture.

not many options to adjust the picture. not the best contrast on a projector. Does not come with a manual, just a cd with the manual on it.
