Produces 500 lumens of light output in a really tiny package measuring 4.1ʺ x 1.5ʺ x 4.2ʺ, 10,000:1 Constrast Ratio, Expect up to 20,00o hours of lamp life from the LED light source, Supports HDMI input, Able to read all these movie file formats: .avi,...

For VGA input you will always need the universal I/O cable, Has a proprietary power supply that makes the projector a little less portable, The file viewer is not as user-friendly as it could be, but it is currently being updated by the Optoma to work...

The bottom line on the Optoma ML550 is that it is a very satisfactory projector with brightness and picture quality to make it a great choice. If you are the type of traveler that loves powerful in a very tiny package then Optoma has done an excellent...

The brightest, nicest and best connected palm projector yet

Brightness ; Versatility ; Flash drive ; Portability ; Design

No Wi-Fi ; Tablet integration requires dongle ; Bulky power pack ; High price

Brighter than its competitors at this size and enormously well connected, Optoma has come up with something quite special for those after something to power portable presentations.

Optoma ML550

The Optoma ML550 is about the size of earlier-generation 300-lumen WXGA (1,280-by-800) palmtop projectors, but offers a 500-lumen rating.

Data image quality is best described as more than acceptable for most purposes. Video is one step below that, making the projector usable for video, but far from impressive.

Great Projector

We use this projector in our home theater and I was concerned it would be bright enough but it is plenty bright! Our previous projector was not LED and I was always concerned about the bulb going out but then some sort of digital chip went out instead...

This makes portable projection a usable reality (I should trade mark that)

If it was quieter it would be a perfect product
