Optoma PK201

The Optoma PK201 is a modestly bright Pico projector producing 20 lumens in its brightest mode. Not a lot of power, but this unit doesn't dissapoint even though the brightness is on the low side. I should state that most projectors that run under just...

Higher resolution than most Picos at 854x480 ; Has a microSD card slot for loading presentation slides ; Accepts HDMI Has a USB port to read files from ; Project up to a 70 inch image ; AVI, MOV, MP4, 3GP (Common video formats are converted using...

Not very bright at 20 lumens and does not get any brighter when plugged into AC ; Battery lasts only about an hour ; Requires some files to be converted by the Optoma software in order to playback from projectors internal memory ; Not as price...

Optoma Pico PK201 Review

A full feature set with with a crisp and saturated image make the PK201 pico pocket projector a great alternative for mobile presentation. Excellent Value!

Optoma PK201

In a class of lightweight portable projectors, the Optomo Pico PK201 is a featherweight at only 5.7 ounces. But can this tiny device perform against its heavier opponents?

If you're after a projector that fits into your pocket as easily as an iPhone, this is well worth considering.

As you’d expect, these jacks support video as well as PC feeds. Furthermore, the list of codecs the PK201 can handle is outstandingly long. In full, it goes like this (deep breath): Video - avi, wmv, mpg, mpeg, mp4, 3gp, 3g2, mov, m4v, rm, rmvb, ogm,...

Optoma Pico Pocket Projector PK201 review

The PK201 comes with several input methods, including Composite, VGA and Mini HDMI, enabling you to use content from products ranging from an iPhone (with a non-supplied adapter) to a TV or games system. In addition you can simply pop in an microSD...

The display stretches to a massive 70”, with WVGA resolution, theoretically enabling the device to be used as a portable cinema system. However in practice we found the image is not bright enough to work at that size.

Awesome travel projector!

First pico-projector I have seen that exceeds 'fun toy'... awesome projector. All hookups work great, iphone adapter works perfectly as well... had netflix on the wall via iphone in no time. 20 lumens on bright background in the dark looks near HDTV...

Connections: AV, VGA, and HDMI!, micro SD slot, ease of use, brightness for size, 3-led engine, great resolution, unit size is amazingly small

battery life (standard for most), poor speaker (again, standard), limited internal memory

Not bright enough to be useful

While it's very light weight and full of features, the bulb is not bright enough to be useful.

Road Warriors Must Have Tool

I an a consultant on construction projects. The areas I do presentations in are remote and often primitive. One less bag to get through customs and throwing a projection up on a cramped construction trailer wall is what this device seems to be made for.
