Philips PicoPix PPX 1430 Review

A great compact projector that puts out a stronger, brighter, bigger picture than you'd expect

Do you need a pico projector? Probably not, unless you’re contractually obliged to deliver the same Powerpoint presentation on the state of the rubber hosing industry to audiences in Swindon, Nottingh

Philips PicoPix 1430 review

The PicoPix is a cute projector which looks like a miniature version of a standard projector, much like BenQ's Joybee GP1 (see What's New, Shopper 262). It uses an LED lamp and LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technology to project a 52in diagonal...

It may be cute, but the PicoPix's image suffers heavily from the rainbow effect, and you'll need an adaptor for VGA.

Firstly, thanks to the other reviewers who pointed out that the Pico Pix PPX1430 does not come with a V.G.A cable and this needs to be bought separately, otherwise I would never have known as it is not mentioned in manufacturers description. So having...

Very disappointed

Happy enough with the delivery, packing etc but very disappointed to learn that amongst the packet of leads and connectors there was NO CONNECTION from the Projector to a PC, as I had bought this piece of equipment specifically for that purpose! It...

Great projector

I needed this as our larger projector was broken. It is a nice size and easy to move around. As its so small its great for travelling. I took it away on a recent trip, we used it to show pictures of the trip to the group, which was great as normally...

A wonderful little projector - but not for android..?

This is a great piece of kit - it works easily straight out of the box and is sooooo tiny. Picture quality is really pretty good, especially - as others have said - if you darken the room. My only problem is that I want to use it on the go specifically...
