SIM2's C3X LUMIS HOST - More Projector Than You Can Afford

SIM2 showed off a new addition to the Grand Cinema C3X Series. SIM2's C3X LUMIS HOST pairs a reference standard 3-chip DLP-based projector with a discrete outboard projector control electronics module that connects via SIM2's proprietary, three-line...

SIM2 C3X Lumis 3D-S

Despite the AV industry's best efforts, it seems the public's interest in domestic 3D may be waning. Indeed, it feels as if the format needs a 'booster shot' from some landmark film or product, to re-ignite public enthusiasm.

Near perfect 3D pictures ; Beautifully designed ; Flexible setup

Unimpressive remote ; A bit noisy ; Cost

So much so that it won't fail to persuade even the most hardcore of 3D sceptics that the format is more than just another gimmick.

SIM2 C3X Lumis Uno

Still very high end but just that little bit more affordable. If you are after a high-end projector then you should give this a look

Truly premium picture quality ; Exceptional colour management ; Gorgeously designed

Lacks any dynamic or manual iris controls and so loses out a touch on shadow detail to higher-level Lumis models ; Runs a little noisily

If you can afford £19K for a projector as good as this, can't you afford an extra £7K for the even more flexible and talented C3X Lumis? But as noted earlier, £7,000 can go a long way for anyone...

Sim2 Lumis 3D-S

The Sim2 Lumis 3D-S projector may cost 30 grand, but every penny is up there on the screen for all to see.

Flawless 2D and 3D pictures ; Stunning design ; Enormous set-up flexibility

The remote control is unimpressive ; It runs a bit noisily ; It costs more than a new Range Rover Evoque Coupe

The Sim2 Lumis 3D-S isn’t just a great projector, it's a genuinely ground-breaking one. For it delivers to the lucky few able to afford it the first truly flawless 3D performance ever seen outside of a top-end commercial 3D cinema – alongside, of...
