BenQ W7000 Full-HD 3D Home Cinema Projector Preview

Incorporating many of the latest technologies, the BenQ W7000 certainly looks to be a lot of features for the money. With a MSRP of just under $4k, it could be a wallet buster those on a budge though.

The BenQ W7000 sports a lot of the technology in the bigger, more expensive BenQ projectors. But that doesn't mean it is cheap. With a MSRP of just under $4k, it could be a wallet-buster for an Audioholic on a budget. We've already seen the projector's...

BenQ W7000 DLP Projector Reviewed

More and more the home theater is becoming a multi-purpose space for many enthusiasts. It was with that in mind that Adrienne Maxwell reviewed the BenQ W7000 projector.

BenQ's W7000 is an excellent choice for someone who's looking for a cost-effective projector for a multi-purpose theater space. Yes, you can find other projectors that will provide better black levels and contrast for a completely light-controlled...

BenQ W7000

That is what BenQ is telling me. I'm now waiting for a firmware upgrade, (or a full production W7000)

3D capable ; Single chip DLP provides pretty clean 3D ; Excellent calibrated color and skin tones ; Very good black level performance - true "ultra high contrast ; Rich colors, especially on darker scenes ; Very good placement flexibility ; Very good...

Below average lamp life for higher operational costs (a price, in this case, paid for all that brightness) ; A noisier projector than average, at full power, although typical of most DLP projectors and a few LCD and LCoS projectors ; Lacks second HDMI...

I plan to be switching back and forth between the W7000 and the Epson Home Cinema 5010,until the next projector arrives for review. (That should help me sort things out when it comes to issuing the Best In Class awards. All considered, I'm impressed...

BenQ W7000 Review

A great projector for a home theater, living room, or game room, and at $2499 it won't break the bank, either.

BenQ W7000+ home theatre projector

BenQ's updated home theatre projector has good 3D and great 2D

Excellent 2D and 3D image quality ; Wide lens shift, keystone, adjustment for setup

Uncomfortable 3D glasses ; Black level slightly high in preset modes

BenQ’s lightly-updated W7000+ home theatre projector has generally good image quality credentials, especially considering its comparatively accessible price tag. The 3D glasses bundled are not at all comfortable, though, and you can get better picture...

BenQ W7000 home theatre projector

This home theatre projector is bright and colourful

Excellent colour performance ; Bright, even in cinema settings ; Good 3D depth and smoothness

Far too sharp in default settings ; Slightly noisy fan ; 3D glasses feel cheap and flimsy

BenQ's W7000 home theatre projector makes some small sacrifices -- lamp life, fan noise -- to create an excellent picture that's both bright and with great contrast. It's got plenty of extra features built in like picture-in-picture and video...

BenQ's latest high-end home-theatre projector boasts 1080p output and 3D support, while utilising DLP projector technology.

The W7000 should be available now, and bears a recommended retail price of AU$3799.

BenQ W7000 3D AV projector

BenQ’s 3D projector is capable of excellent value, but doesn’t deliver it out of the box. Stephen Dawson details the dubious default settings.

Brilliant 3D performance ; Good 2D performance ; Excellent value for money

Dreadful default picture settings ; Only one set of 3D glasses included
