Armored Core: Last Raven

It's hard to believe that our beloved Armored Core franchise is now a decade old. It seems like only yesterday when I first discovered the thrill of navigating ten tons...

Finally Online ; Little Tweaks For The Fans ; Still The King Of Customization

Not Very Newbie Friendly ; Confusing Menus ; Still Feels Like The Same Old Game

Armored Core: Last Raven (PSP) Review

Armored Core returns to the portable world, packing over 500 customizable parts, four player ad hoc multiplayer and new opponents. Will this latest game be able to tackle the limits of the PSP control or will it deliver a memorable experience?

From Software is a legend in the robotic area of gaming, bringing detailed models and customizable robots with a strong backstory to the masses. Armored Core stands as the company legacy, each entry sporting advancements in their game engines, improved...

Armored Core: Last Raven

With Armored Core: Last Raven, diehard fans of the series are unquestionably getting their deepest desire: a tough-as-nails continuation of the arcade-style mech combat they love so much. Those of you who have been into these games for the decade that...

Challenging even for veterans ; Almost endless customization ; Gameplay that has been honed to a razor's edge

Ridiculously difficult for new players ; Bland graphics and sound ; Incomprehensible controls ; Why, oh why, is all of that customization so necessary

You know, part of me wants to hate this game's guts, not just because it is so brutally difficult and out-and-out boring, but because what should be the most intriguing part of the game - the outfitting and tweaking of your machine - is made necessary...

Armored Core: Last Raven

Armored Core: Last Raven is the last Armored Core entry for the PS2. Will Armored Core go out with a bang on the PS2?

In all, Armored Core: Last Raven is a great game, and it doesn't matter wether or not you're a fan of the series or not. This is a great title to get yourself into the series, and Armored Core: Last Raven definately goes out with a BANG.

Armored Core: Last Raven

This hardcore mech simulation spits in the face of non-fans.

Depth, customization, and a hardcore multiplayer component

Story mode feels like hazing for new players; no online multiplayer

Armored Core: Last Raven

Oh no! Giant robots! Zzzzzzzz...

Huge number of customizability options ; Responsive controls ; 70-plus missions, branching storyline

Boring level and mission designs ; Wildly varying difficulty ; No meaningful detail to environments

Armored Core: Last Raven Review

Hardcore mech action for ravenous gamers looking for a lasting experience

A fine culmination to a healthy PS2 run. Armored Core: Last Raven rejuvenates the series' strengths by making the action gameplay as (if not more) important than the strategic element of tweaking your mechs to perfect. The game also throws a bit of a...

Armored Core: Last Raven - ps2

The “Armored Core” series boasts some of the lamest, most overdone voice-overs this side of “Soul Calibur”. I can report with confidence that “Last Raven”, in keeping with Agetec's commitment to consistency, is no different. But who cares if it sounds...

Armored Core: Last Raven PlayStation 2 Review

It's a complete buffet of giant robot parts.

The parts themselves are actually divided into categories but the game makes very little attempt to explain all of them. These include light parts for fast movement and heavy parts for higher health. On top of this, the robots can also be changed from...
