Burnout 2: Point Of Impact

It seems like only yesterday that I heard the phrase, “best crashes ever”. This was the infamous line given to Acclaim's original Burnout for the PS2. Sure the game featured...

Burnout 2: Point of Impact -- Developer's Cut

Solid as a rock, faster than most -- your eyeballs are about to bleed.

Excellent visuals; super-fast driving; tight controls; cool physics; challenging and fun; online rankings

Lacks online play; multiplayer modes are secondary in importance; weak music

Burnout 2: Point of Impact

There is no other racing game in the world like this. Hands down, it's the best racer you can buy for the GameCube. The full review inside!

Amazing sense of speed ; Graphics and sound effects are uber-realistic ; Gameplay and crashes will keep you coming back for more ; New modes add tons of replay value

Can't save crash replays ; Traffic is sometimes predictable and questionable

There is so much more to this game than can be mentioned here. The police pursuit mode, custom series cars, two-player races, four-player Crash mode, and some of the most hair-raising close-calls you’ll ever see in a game. You’ll be so addicted that...

Burnout 2: Point of Impact

Everyone loves car crashes. As long as everyone walks away safe and there's no insurance to be paid, that is. Big car pile-ups in movies, demolition derbies, all that fun stuff.

Looking to kill some time with some friends? See who can get the best crash. This game's great for a weekend for some quick instant fun. Pop it in and knock yourself out. However... it is fairly shallow as a racing game, so I'd only recommend buying...

Burnout 2: Point of Impact - ps2

Admittedly, people who play Burnout 2 will say this is the game that the original should have been, and while Point of Impact may seem like a deluxe version of that original, there is plenty of new content and game modes to make this game stand on its...

The Armchair Empire - Playstation 2 (PS2) Reviews: Burnout 2: Point of Impact

Crashing is inevitable… much like taxes. The latest racing offering from Acclaim and Criterion Games, namely Burnout 2, takes street racing to your home -- as opposed to actual street racing in your home which isn't...

Burnout 2: Point of Impact (PS2)

I looked up the word “sleeper” in Webster's dictionary and found a definition that reads:

If you’re not looking for a flat out arcade racer then I’ll save you some time and suggest that you stop reading now. Burnout 2 will never be confused with any kind of driving simulation. As the name implies, the game modes are about two simple things:...

Burnout 2: Point of Impact

The sequel to Criterion's criminally underrated racer is here, and yes, it still has the best crashes on the planet.

Burnout 2 is good, that much should be readily apparent. Unless you're a die-hard gear head, I can't see any reason why this game wouldn't be a must-have. Like the first game, it doesn't break any racing paradigms, doesn't forge new territory in the...
