Canis Canem Edit - PS2 review at Thunderbolt Games

Have you ever wondered what the Grand Theft Auto titles might turn out like if they explored other scenarios? Like, say - for the purpose of this review - a boarding school? Well, that's pretty much what Rockstar must have thought too, when the Houser...

After garnering the attention and hatred of clearly clueless family groups and certain trouble-making, idiotic lawyers, Rockstar's latest anticipated, uniquely atmospheric title has finally made its way to retail shelves. While the game's premise feels...

Exhibiting the quality we've come to expect from Rockstar in the free-roaming genre, Canis Cenem Edit features numerous traits from previous Rockstar titles: the design is obviously influenced by the GTA series; the combat system and stealth feels a...

Ever wanted to smack a sense of decency into your tormentors? Now's your chance

Endlessly varied gameplay ; Stellar writing and acting ; Challenges school-game taboo

No skateboard tricks ; Frustrating stealth missions ; Jimmy's speeches are cheesy

Canis Canem Edit [Platinum]

Rockstar Games, the industry's lightning rod for controversy, continues its reputation for edgy, unusual material in Bully for PlayStation 2, a game that stars a juvenile delinquent in a reform school for troubled teens. More a sardonic pastiche of 1980s

Back in school we are the leaders, of it all

Once you get passed the whole GTA in a school assumption you’ll find a damn enjoyable game. The characters grow on you after a while and it’s not long before you feel as though you’re starting to fit in at Bullworth Academy.

Canis Canem Edit (aka Bully)

Give it half an hour, and you'll be hooked!

The game is chock-full of wicked humour, excellent voice acting, and addictive play - three valid reasons to give it a go

While it is open-ended and features plenty of variety, the main storyline is fairly short

Canis Canem Edit (PS2)

Canis canem edit, or Bully, as it used to be known before the developers were forced to change the name, is typical Rockstar fodder. The publishers of Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto are no strangers to controversy and with their latest release; they are...

The Story ; The humour ; The feel

Not everyones idea of fun

is played by large and a vast amount of gamers, so you're sure to make a network and friends. Whatever age or gender

Bully is a surprisingly simple and rather tame game by Rockstar's standards, but that's part of its charm. It's fun from start to finish and is good enough to shine through the controversy.

Technically impressive ; Great setting for a video game ; Tons of character

Not much of a challenge

Bully is a surprisingly simple and rather tame game by Rockstar's standards, but that's part of its charm. The sense of grandeur seen in the likes of San Andreas isn't here, but Bully has a sense of character that is unique. You'll care about sneaking...
