Dead Or Alive 2 Hardcore

I can remember the first time I played the original DOA on my Playstation back in the day. Living in a Tekken dominated world DOA was a nice stray from...

Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore

The latest in this series has come to us with all the action and the unique fighting technique with which the original game was introduced, plus a few extras. If you enjoyed Dead or Alive the first time, you'll love it this time, too. There were two...

There is a down side to this game, at least for those of you who may not be fighting game freaks like me. Much the same as Tekken… if you’ve played it once, you’ve played it a thousand times. Tecmo has dressed this game up a bit, but underneath all the...

Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore Review for the PS2

Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting...

Great graphics; Reversals; More depth

but still not quite enough; Only 10 characters

The sound effects are fine, though the music is just awful. Can we stop with the 1988 heavy metal guitar riffs? I didn't know Motley Crue had a patent on the genre!

Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore

Once believed to be a Dreamcast exclusive game, Sega fans would mock Sony owners that they finally have something that Sony will never see, but then came a shocking revelation by Tecmo that Dead or Alive 2 would be released on Playstation 2 in Japan on...

I really do not like the American voice actors that Tecmo hired to do the voice-overs. Not only do they sound bland, but they don't fit the role of their corresponding fighters one bit. The music has remained the same, and thankfully nothing has...

The Armchair Empire - Playstation 2 (PS2) Reviews: DOA2: Hardcore

ONE OF THE BEST LONG-FORGOTTEN PS2 GAMES 9.25 OUT OF 10

ONE OF THE BEST LONG-FORGOTTEN PS2 GAMES 9.25 OUT OF 10

This was my first time playing the DOA series on a non-Xbox platform. This was the last entry in the series that appeared on Playstation platforms. So after being a die-hard fan of the series on my Xbox and Xbox 360 do I think it's just as kickass as...

The lurning curve is steeper than Tekken

The lurning curve is steeper than Tekken

This is a good game with great graphics. The combos in fights are harder than Tekkens and get this, if you want to counter, you have to push square and the same buttons that your opponent pushes. On DOA3 on XBOX they made the countering easier by just...
