Disgaea 2

Nippon Ichi does it again with the truly kick ass sequel, "Disgaea 2".

True and at times, innovative SRPG combat ; Professional grade voice acting ; Awesome musical score ; Sharp top-notch 2D graphics ; Extremely long ; A whole lot of things to do ; 8 different endings ; Nice sense of humor that will leave most people...

Combat can be a bit on the repetitious side ; Overused character and enemy sprites ; Sometimes a bit much for casual players

This game is a must-have title for anyone into RPGs that owns a PlayStation 2. Fans of Disgaea shouldn't even hesitate.

Disgaea 2 Review

Some games are released and become near-instant hits. HALO, The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Brothers never really had a problem selling during their respective releases. The two NES games were just good and HALO was so hyped that it sold well.

Another neat element is the combo system. If you have characters right beside an attacking character or behind them, they’ll have a chance to combo if the attack used is a normal one. Comboing doesn’t take up their action for the turn, either – you...

Before I even begin here, I need to get something off my chest. I am totally addicted to this game. I can't tear myself away from it. And I'm giving it a 7/10. Why? Because this is the same game I fell in love with years ago as Disgaea. Granted, it has...

Same great gameplay that made the original so great ; And a few improvements here and there

But not many improvements, really ; And none of those improvements were the graphics or the camera ; Also, the story and characters are some of the least interesting an NIS game has ever had

Unless you've bought and spent hundreds of hours playing through Disgaea, La Pucelle Tactics, Phantom Brave, and Makai Kingdom, and are still looking for more, you should be focusing on one of those titles instead of this one. If you have played...

Whichever way you slice it, Disgaea 2 is still a fantastic game that deserves all of the attention that it gets. Highly Recommended

200 hours you'll be glad to lose

Awesome characters ; Impossibly deep gameplay ; Customizable everything

Item World, after 30 hours or so ; Still might be too deep for some ; Ignoring all other games

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories

A solid and lengthy strategy RPG without all the distracting visual pizzazz.

Musically the game is average. There are a few remixed songs from the previous game, and these songs sound good, but most of the rest are just average. The sound effects fit the game well and the Japanese voice acting is top notch. The English voices...
