Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

The primary experience communicated by Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is not one primarily associated with a fighting game. In general, fighting games are built around the core of a system that abstracts the action of combat, forcing one to build a...

Faithfully recreates the feel of the best battles from the show – may be even better than the show in that regard ; Huge character selection ; Multiplayer is a blast

Lack of balance in the character roster ; Lacks the show's sense of humor ; If you're not a fan your enjoyment is gonna be a lot lower

It comes down to this: if you are a fan of Dragon Ball, any series, and you do not mind the idea of a "fighting game" which isn't really a fighter so much as a simulator for the ridiculous action sequences in the show, then this may be for you. If you...

Dragonball Z Tenkaichi 3

Before Naruto was heating things up on the anime scene, Dragon Ball Z was quite possibly the definition of animated success. The series spawned hundreds of episodes, countless movies, and found its way onto other media such as video games. The first...

What Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 lacks in innovation it makes up for with quality. This is undoubtedly the best anime fighter available and subtle tweaks have improved it over the previous installments. Unfortunately newcomers may be lost...

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

The Dragon Ball Z series of games is a surprisingly long one given the length of the source story by Akira Toriyama. Thus, by the time publisher Atari released Budokai Tenkaichi 3, there's very little that hadn't been done.

Goku and the Z Fighters return to the Wii for more waggle-filled mayhem.

Does a great job of capturing the Dragon Ball feel; tons of playable characters; lots of single-player modes

Fighting engine isn't very deep; covers well-worn territory; lackluster multiplayer options; online mode is laggy

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

It seems like every year that we are sitting here talking about another Dragon Ball Z game, which for fans of the series can either be a great thing

In the end, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the Nintendo Wii is a good solid fighter that’s not going to necessarily change anyone’s mind on the series. If you didn’t like the Wii controls last year, you’re not going to this year. But the...

Interesting

Havent tried the nunchuck because I hate them. I can tell you the gamecube controller works fine though.

There are lots of modes to play in and lots of things to unlock and become champion of. You get to see many Dragon Ball characters and even get a Duel Option for two player. Like the tournament mode as well

The online play is horrendous and I would not recommend it. Everything runs in slow motion

A ton of fast paced fun

I would buy this game again in a second. I have always loved fighters and this is one of my favorites. Character movement is so fast that the game feels very different from tekken, DoA, street fighter or any other fighter I have played. The only true...

A great fast paced fighter with tons and tons of different fighters. If you are a fan of the anime series you will absolutely love the game. If you have never seen the anime then this will be a lot of fun. You may not like the story line too much, but...

Defensive moves are very difficult to pull off. I would have like to see a bit more counter attack options in the game. The online play can be very laggy

Dragon Ball game with more of the same

I was lucky to purchase the wii january, so if you are one of those people scouring stores to find one, hang in there!

Great game, animations for special attacks are ALOT better. I own the previous version of this game and it got wii fighting game of the year with its ease of controls and gameplay. This is no different they tweak the control a little bit and got rid of...

more of the same, which is not much of a con to me
