Rock Out!

To say that Guitar Hero is a smash hit is quite the understatement. Video game company RedOctane released this riff ripper to nothing short of paramount success. Gamers, including this formerly unappreciative rock listening reviewer, flocked to this...

Music 101 for the Rock impaired.

Have you ever wanted to stand on a stage in front of thousands of people. All of them cheering for you to play your song? Have you ever wanted to just look them all in the eye, and bust out a face melting, spine tingling song that gives them the...

Best music game of all time.

Guitar Hero is one of those games by an almost unknown developer and becomes a huge hit. Guitar Hero was developed by guitar players for people who don't necessarily need to play the guitar and is my personal favorite music game of all time.

Extremely funA lot of difficultiesGreat fun for people who don't

It'll have you playing guitar for the rest of your life!

Absolutely amazing! This is the best game to come out of any shop, of any genre, EVER! If you play guitar you will absolutely love this right down to incredibly complicated and extreme solo's, if your not a guitar player, it's pretty much the same!

Everything. The Whole thing is just one big amplifier of amazing, original masterpiecing

For the would-be guitarist in us all

From the moment I saw this game reviewed on GameSpot, it quickly made my priority list for Christmas. The controller is a 30 inch plastic guitar (A Gibson GS style if you must know) complete with 5 color coded buttons, a strumming bar, whammy bar, and...

Easy learning curve, popular rock tunes, a nice assortment of unlockables

More expensive than average, hand cramps early on, 'necessary' high volume

Far easier than taking lessons

To put it succinctly, Guitar Hero is the greatest rhythm game ever created. Not just for the PS2, but any game console period.

47 total songs x 4 difficulty modes = lots of replay value

Multiplayer mode isn't quite as exciting as it could be

Guitar Hero Rocks!!!

Who hasn't done air guitar in the privacy of their own home at one point or another? Guitar Hero is the coolest new game out for Play Station 2.

You get to be a guitar god ala Clapton, Stevie Ray, Blackmore or Hendrix

Even more songs would have been cooler
