Hitman: Blood Money (PlayStation 2)

The bald-headed contract killer known only as 47 is in good form, primed and ready for more work in the latest installment in the dark, stylish Hitman series. Though very similar to the last two games in the series, the open-ended stealth action...

The graphics in the PS2 version are certainly inferior to both the PC and Xbox 360 versions, but considering the capabilities of Sony’s now-outdated console, the visuals are pretty solid. There’s a great deal of detail amidst the somewhat annoying...

But at the same time, that freedom gives the game its very original feel, and ramps up the replay value as well. There are only a dozen missions, but the length of time it takes to complete them (factoring in the assumed high level of trial-and-error)...

In most games of this type, stealth is only a minor element of the gameplay. However, in Hitman, it is generally the only way you can successfully traverse a level. As you can probably tell from the title, the main aim of the game is to complete a...

Fantastic music ; Well presented ; Smooth controls ; Huge replay value

AI is patchy in places ; It’s too tempting to just go through a level with a shotgun

Newbie or veteran, fan or critic, you will enjoy this game. Blood Money is frustrating enough to be challenging, but fun enough to keep you coming back for more. Best game in the series.

Agent 47's latest adventure is nearly flawless.

Along with the usual silver ballers, fiber wire and sniper rifle, Agent 47 can now use melee attacks like head butts and disarm maneuvers to get out of close encounters as well as hiding in closets and climbing through windows. Hitman: Blood Money is...

Hitman: Blood Money

Hitman Blood Money is a curious animal. On the one hand, it's got a decent plot, fun and open-ended gameplay, and interesting missions. On the other, there's the somewhat iffy hit-detection, over-detailed models, and a reliance on stock models to...

Hitman Blood Money ends up coming together quite nicely. The gameplay gives you plenty of choices regarding progressing through a stage, and it looks good while you do so. It would've been very easy to churn out another boring murderfest, but instead...

Hitman: Blood Money

Agent 47 is back and more dangerous than ever, spilling blood in every corner of the globe.

Same great action that the series has always offered; open-ended gameplay; nice variety of "accidental" deaths; intriguing storyline; excellent visuals; far less expensive than the 360 version

A.I. is a bit of a mixed bag; Notoriety system is underutilized

Hitman: Blood Money

If you,ve played any of the previous Hitman games, you may have noticed how the series has sort of been like a rollercoaster ride. The first title, Codename 47, offered up a new concept but was plagued with flaws, limitations, and trial and error...

The Hitman series has reached an all-time high.

You'll never have more fun cleaning up your mess

Body pile-up ; Upgrades that make a difference ; Silent and deadly success

Rough controls ; Oblivious bystanders and guards ; Loud and messy failure

Hitman: Blood Money is a fitting finale to 47's reign on the current-gen platforms. In keeping with previous titles in the series, the experience can be a frustrating one that isn't for everybody. Those with perseverance and patience, however, will...
