Jak 3 (PS2)

Jak is back for the third and purportedly final time in Jak 3, the conclusion to Naughty Dog's best-selling platforming franchise. Last year's Jak II turned the series right on its ear, replacing the original Jak & Daxter's verdant hills and...

Jak 3 Review

The last game of the trilogy.

Jak 3 takes all the good things about the previous two games and improves on it. The end is satisfying and the humor in the game will please all fans and newcomers. The game is fun to play through and the story is well done. Great voice acting and...

Jak 3 - PS2 review at Thunderbolt Games

Beautiful organic landscapes, sun kissed oceans and traditional platform gameplay are among the things I do not associate with this game. Jak & Daxter are back (contrary to what the title would have you believe) and for better or worse their third...

When it was announced that Jak 3 would be the last title in the series, I, like other Jak fans, couldn't believe what I was hearing. Hell, even during the preview screenings of the game I had trouble rationally accepting that this was the end of the...

If you're going to send a franchise into the sunset, this is the way to go. Jak 3 manages to instill a sense of resolution, especially if you've played the series all the way through. It also implements a number of substantial changes and gameplay...

Jak 3

The conclusion to the Jak trilogy looks nice, but does not play well with others.

Jak himself is quite the angry character. It's understandable, what with all he's been through, but his "Holier Than Thou" attitude can be aggravating. Yes, it's nitpicking, but I shouldn't have an issue almost every time the main character opens his...

JAK 3

Question: When is an epic not an epic?

Fantastic conclusion to an epic story ; Top notch modeling and animation ; Great voice acting carries the writing

Weapon aiming and camera movement have serious problems ; Still a linear game dropped into an open environment. Very conflicted ; Vehicle driving and the hoverboard can be maddening to drive

A mixed bag of great story and some half-baked play. Your mileage may vary... widely.

If you have been a reader of Snackbar Games for any amount of time, then you probably know that I am an absolute fiend for platforming games. You probably also know that I hold the Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank series very dear to my heart. The...

Jak 3 - Playstation 2 (PS2) Reviews - The Armchair Empire

In the latest and last Jak adventure, loose ends are tied up, character bonds grow stronger and the fate of the world is on the brink of destruction

Jak 3

It has become a rare occasion when gamers have been treated to a platformer that has done it right. With an abundance of poorly developed platformers hitting our shelves every year, gamers have become sick of playing run-of-the-mill titles that attempt...

Jak 3 on Playstation 2

Is it Jak 3 or Jak 2.5?

All in all, the graphics for Jak 3 are done very well, but in true sequel form, it wouldn't have hurt to improve some of the character models and exploit Jak's powers more throughout the game.

Product Specifications

One year has passed since Jak and Daxter saved Haven City from Kor and his Metal Head onslaught, yet the anniversary brings no comfort. Haven City is still immersed in deadly chaos as 3 warring factions fight for control of the city streets.
