Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier (PSP)

The Jak and Daxter series is a household name among platforming fans, getting much love for its madcap adventures imbued with a good dose of action and puzzle-solving. The latest addition to the series is no different: it's a good-looking, challenging,...

So I know what you all are thinking, another platform game?! Well think again - while Jak and Daxter is not going to completely revolutionize the genre, it is definitely making its way to perfecting it. The game takes place on a series of islands...

With all this said, I must give Naughty Dog credit for creating a game that can truly be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you are thirteen or thirty, Jak and Daxter brings something special to the table. Its technology is superb and is leading...

The Consensus: Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier Review

This adventure could have been a little shorter.

Flying parts are fun (for a while); lots of bonus missions; good dialogue; lovable characters

Every cool part repeats a little too often; some terrible boss fights; story feels irrelevant and vague

How's this for a bit of insight: If I hadn't been playing The Lost Frontier for review, I doubt I would have finished it. As I've explained, I don't think it's awful -- I just think I experienced the entirety of what fun the game has to offer in just a...

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier Sony PSP Review

In it, Jak and Daxter live peacefully in the village, worn out from previous. However, a sudden lack of Eco sends everyone into a frenzy. The power begins to fade, and Eco Storms occur, threatening their village. With help from an up-and-coming Eco...

Plays just as wonderfully as previous Jak and Daxter adventures, spectacular flying segments, features a great comedic style in both its presentation and dialogue, the Dark side of Daxter is bad-ass, plenty of unlockables and collectibles

Storyline is slightly weaker than previous games, easily beaten within a few hours, no online battles

Supposedly, Naughty Dog wrapped up its Jak and Daxter series on the PlayStation 2 with Jak 3 and the following driving game, Jak X. That, however, hasn't stopped the duo from making a killer comeback, this time on the PlayStation Portable. Despite...

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier Review

Many people were under the assumption that Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier would be exclusively for the PSP, since its trailer did debut running on the portable hardware. But, much like MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, this Jak game still ended up appearing...

Unless you're a die-hard Jak and Daxter fan, Jak and Daxter: The Final Frontier isn't worth the coin. There are better things to spend your money on right now, especially if you own a PS3, Xbox 360, or PSP. With games like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown...

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

From the creators of Crash Bandicoot comes a new team of characters, Jak & Daxter.

Wide variety of levels, seamless worlds, good voice acting. Some of the best graphics ever, awesome animation, no loading times, good sound effects

Game is somewhat short, somewhat unoriginal game mechanics, only 3 bosses. Music is somewhat ho-hum

Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy review for the PS2

Is that a ferret in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Free environment; See there, go there; No loading; Looks great; Quality voice actors; Eco system

Camera can get frisky; Traditional gameplay

But Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy certainly has set a new benchmark for the platformer genre with its huge environments and gaming freedom. Play this one through, and you'll never look at platformers the same way again.
