Don't push me 'cause I'm close to the edge.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge Review

MotorStorm is a great franchise, and it's unfortunate that the PSP game, which launched before the PS2 game, hasn't performed very well in sales. The PS2 version is now here, as well, and I really cannot stress how great both versions are. Granted,...

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge for the PS2 is still great despite missing a features the PSP game has. At its very core, it does everything that the PS3 games have been doing for years now, with the one and only major difference being the visual sacrifice....

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge" is nothing more than an okay game in an amazing series.

Fun vehicle customization system ; Tight controls ; Highly varied track selection

Textures are very bland ; Splitscreen multiplayer slows the game down a lot ; AI is terrible

If you really need something new to play and don't own any consoles other than a PlayStation 2, this could be a decent buy. Otherwise, try before you buy.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge

One small step for MotorStorm, one giant hit in graphics for Arctic Edge

Smooth handling ; Kicking other drivers ; The licensed music soundtrack

Subpar graphics even for PS2 ; Limited multiplayer options ; Fugly ragdoll physics

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge on PS2 may not be as robust as the previous PS3 versions of MotorStorm or as handy as the PSP version of Arctic Edge (what with the being portable and all), but it’s not a bad racing game to have around if the PS2 is your only...

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is everything you could have hoped for in a portable version of MotorStorm. Yes, everything. Okay, almost everything.

Once you are able to get online, you'll be treated to a mostly lag-free experience that lets you earn points for wins that in turn unlock new ranks (useful for racing against other vets) and allow you to unlock new stuff in addition to gaining Badges...

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge - Playstation 2 (PS2) Reviews - The Armchair Empire

MotorStorm has become a fan favorite on the PS3 and it's nice to see it actually take a stab on the PS2 for those of you that still have one. Even if all you have is a PS3, you might want to consider picking this one up if your system plays PS2 games...

Great graphics; Great track and vehicle variety

Could have used online play like the PSP version; In general, why does the PSP version offer more features

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge

Back in September, PSP owners were treated with a truly enjoyable arcade racing title with MotorStorm: Arctic Edge . For those who haven't jumped to the HD era of gaming or don't own a PSP now have their chance to pick up Arctic Edge for the...

Controls better than the PSP version ; Same goodness as the PSP version (fantastic soundtrack, wonderful courses, great single player)

No online ; Same problems as the PSP version (questionable AI, weird physics) ; Some screen tearing ; Minor sound issues

It’s clear that MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is merely just another PSP to PS2 port geared at appealing to gamers who might not own Sony's portable system. For a PS2 racer, this is still a solid title worth your cash and the controls certainly make each...

Not bad for the price...

I was a bit 50/50 about buying this as I didn't really like the 2 versions on the PS3. The only downsides are when you use the turbo boost, you hardly notice any increase in the speed, some of the vechicles are dodgy to control, so you're wasting your...
