Originally released for the GameCube, Resident Evil 4 makes few sacrifices in bringing all its gory glory to bear on the PlayStation 2 and delivers one incredible thrill after another.

Resident Evil 4 Review

2005, 8 Months after the GC release, we had RE4 on PS2. How did it turn out?

RE 4 is a must play, a must own, a must replay, a must everything! I've tried many times to make a Top Ten Favorite Games Ever list, and I usually don't get past 3 or 4. It is just that hard to name the best of the best. I do know one thing though....

Resident Evil 4

Capcom's mainstream survival horror game, "Resident Evil 4" finally catches up to the PlayStation 2 with additional content and does so flawlessly.

Amazing and well-detailed graphics ; A simple, yet perfectly fitting story ; Tons of endless and entertaining action ; Enough unlockable weapons and modes to keep anyone busy ; A fairly unique setting ; Deep weapon upgrade system ; Lengthy main story...

The game has to end SOME time or another, unfortunately

This game is the perfect buy for anyone who loves action games. I can't find a single bad thing to say about this game.

Resident Evil 4 - PS2 review at Thunderbolt Games

Gamers who have heard the deafening buzz for Resident Evil 4 and have not been enticed probably belong to one of two schools of thought: they either don't like Resident Evil games in particular (preferring say, the Silent Hill games), or they don't...

Resident Evil 4 Review

The best game this year for the PlayStation 2 and the best RE game since Resident Evil 2!

When you take into account the quality of this game, the new weapons (there are some great ones in here), over-the-top bosses, deep storyline, and the bonus content, you can see why Resident Evil 4 on the PlayStation 2 is Game of the Year material. It...

Resident Evil 4

Nintendo GameCube owners got to enjoy it first, but less than a year later, PS2 owners are enjoying it better: not only has Resident Evil 4, the survival horror franchise that first came to unlife on PSone and Saturn, made its PS2 appearance, but to...

One of the best looking games on PS2, it lost nothing in the translation from GameCube ; Great extra content, plus a kickbutt new weapon that GC owners didn’t get ; Smart redeux of the franchise, replacing zombies with… eastern Europeans ; Top-notch...

Ammo is extremely limited, apart from cheat codes

Resident Evil 4 has gone a long ways to catching up to Silent Hill, scaring you not only with sudden "boos," but a spooky tone and atmosphere as well. At last!

Resident Evil 4 Review for the PS2

Live in your world, eat brains in ours.

Nearly perfect port; Combat and graphics still rule; Long and replayable; Terrifying; Then scary again

And then not scary at all; Ancient gameplay relics

Regardless of your hero, you'll enjoy the upgraded controls and camera. The new controls are a bit reminiscent of Silent Hill's, and while less cinematic, they work exceptionally well thanks to their smooth, crisp precision. Presented in widescreen...
