Silent Hill Origins Review

If you havent visited this town in the past, this may not be the best time to visit...

All in all if you miss the quaint old town and feel like returning for old time's sake then Origins mostly satisfies. The story, albeit a rather short one, will keep you guessing until the end as to what's really going on and the action will keep you...

Silent Hill Origins

It thrilled and chilled on PSP last fall and now the most recent installment in the Silent Hill series is available on PS2 as well. Silent Hill: Origins began life as a remake of the first Silent Hill game and soon evolved into a game with its own...

A nice tide-me-over installment with new characters and a new story ; Some genuinely chilling psychological horror goods are delivered

The game wasn't tweaked much in the up-port process from PSP to PS2 ; Relatively short installment, even by Silent Hill series standards

In the end, Silent Hill Origins is a must for any fan of the series, but only if you don’t already own it on PSP; if you do, the PS2 version is virtually the same, so pick a platform and buy the dang game already!

Silent Hill: Origins - PS2 review at Thunderbolt Games

This is a quick and dirty port – don't be led to believe otherwise. Konami took a good, not great, PSP iteration of their famous Silent Hill canon, and decided that PS2 gamers should get a chance to experience it as well. Sadly – and ironically – while...

Silent Hill Origins

Konami's original PSP title, "Silent Hill Origins" unleashes it's demons upon the PlayStation 2 and holds up surprisingly well for a handheld-to-console port.

Pretty cool story, even if lacking at points ; Absolutely amazing sound quality, even down to the footsteps ; Great graphics with a very high frame rate ; Prequel to the series; cleans the story up quite a bit ; Leads almost directly into the original...

Textures could have been smoothed out a bit for the port ; Could have been a whole lot longer ; Not very creepy in comparison to other titles ; Too easy for a survival horror title

Silent Hill Origins" is a definite buy for any fan of the series, but others may want to borrow or rent this game instead due to the short length. There's not much replay value here, even if you obtain all of the multiple endings. Everything could be...

Silent Hill: Origins - ps2

I do have a couple of complaints, as much as I enjoyed the overall visual effect of Origins. While I thought Travis looked great, other characters suffer from a blocky and sometimes stretched look to them, which is a common issue with ports of games...

Silent Scope

Players become ace sharpshooters for this arcade port to the PlayStation 2. Instead of using the large sniper rifle found on the arcade Silent Scope machine, PS2 gamers use the directional button to take aim. Pressing a button alternates between the

Good but somewhat lacking...

This is a great game in the S.H series, but it lacks a certain something in my opinion. It's not quite up to the standard of S.H 3 or 4 (the room) in terms of complexity and also the overall time it takes to complete. You sort of get the impression...

Silent Hill : Origins

Oh dear! A very short game indeed, and not the hard core experience of Konami Japan (Team Silent) that I was hoping for. That said Climax Portsmouth have packaged the work nicely, and this combined with the PSP version, which did look good, it is a...
