SingStar '80s - PS2 review at Thunderbolt Games

Karaoke. Perhaps the single most effective means of enjoying whilst simultaneously humiliating yourself in public. It's one of those pastimes which, although mildly enjoyable on your own, is exponentially more pleasurable with one or more friends, much...

Worth Singing About

SingStar Amped and SingStar '80s friggin' rock. Buy them both. Now.

If that isn't a pair of dream tracklists, I don't know what is.

SingStar '80s

Get ready to jam out with this selection of '80s hits. Hairspray not included.

Great selection of tracks that appeal to virtually everybody; several multiplayer modes

As usual, the series doesn't feature many options for single-player

SingStar '80s is an excellent example of how Sony's karaoke series can attract an audience of all ages. Its timeless hits are likely to be appreciated by casual gamers, as well as non-gaming passerby, and the original videos make the whole experience...

SingStar 80s

Singstar 80's is the latest title (along with Singstar Amped) in the long running series to make it to North America. This PS2 title takes hit songs and gives them the karaoke treatment allowing players to attempt to match a vocal performance in order...

Nice variety in the songlist ; Party atmosphere and 8 players can join in

Still somewhat short

Yes, all of these songs came out in the decade of neon. Not all of these will fit your taste, but that's the way it is. Do not buy this game alone, it should be seen as an expansion to another Singstar title.

The Singstar franchise really got its start over in Europe and was extremely successful over there and has just recently (somewhat delayed) made its

There is definitely a select market that Sony is trying to hit with this game, and it is the same market that is captured by American Idol each year. There is a current fascination with singing, and Singstar 80s is a great way to just go all out in...

Karaoke to songs from a simpler time... before Madonna became a mom

80s means old ; Only 30 tunes ; Half-baked video abilities

SingStar 80s Review

Like, oh my God, gag us with a microphone.

Although SingStar 80's offers several hours of fun, Sony missed an opportunity to create the ultimate 80s karaoke experience. For now, we'll stick to singing in the shower.

SingStar 80's Review

The Song Remains the Same

Slick layout; Swappable discs; Real music videos; Great at parties

Weak single-player mode; Requires SingStar mics

But SingStar: David Hasselhoff will be huge.

SingStar 80's

Singstar is back with a blend of 80's flavor.

You have a variety of game modes to enjoy as well. You can go solo and try and beat your own high score, you have Pass the Mic party games, Team Games, and of course the aforementioned Freestyle where points don't make a lick of difference. You can...
