April 20th is a date that John and I have agreed never to talk about. A day that we've agreed should be kept secret. It's the night that we killed Britney Spears, murdered A-Ha, and butchered Avril was the night we played SingStar Pop with...

If you like karaoke, have PlayStation and a group of friends to play with then SingStar: Pop is worth every penny. If you're looking for a strictly single player experience you may want to pass on SingStar and look for something else.

SingStar Pop

Singstar Pop is the second title in the long running series to make it to North America. This PS2 title takes hit songs and gives them the karaoke treatment allowing players to attempt to match a vocal performance in order to get a high score. Instead...

Nice variety in the songlist ; Party atmosphere

Still somewhat short

The songs included match the title Singstar Pop than those of the previously released Singstar Rocks. Other than different songs, it is essentially the same game.

In Europe, Sony's long-running SingStar series has been incredibly successful. Despite the success, it wasn't until the release of SingStar Rocks! that Sony decided to bring the franchise to the North American audience. Now a few months after the...

Sony has already made plans to bring SingStar to the PlayStation 3. So hopefully we will soon have an even better karaoke experience on a next-generation gaming platform. Until then, if this is your kind of entertainment, you will have a blast with...

The SingStar series has seen a fair share of success in Europe for a couple of years now, but North American crowds are finally starting to get the games themselves. The second game, SingStar Pop, has finally arrived almost two years after its...

While SingStar has yet to reach the same level as Karaoke Revolution, it is still worth a pickup for those interested in testing their singing skills with a friend. Although players who have not played SingStar before will have to purchase the game...

SingStar Pop

Continuing to chip away at Konami's Karaoke Revolution gigantic market share, Sony's Singstar Pop delivers a second dose of alternative karaoke gameplay (karaoke that scores you on pitch and cadence) in a sequel to the similarly stupendous SingStar Rocks.

As the title SingStar Pop suggests, the 30 songs included in Sony's superlative Karaoke Revolution knock-off are decidedly sugary, some custom made for a flash-in-the-pan, like Ashlee Simpson's

I wanna sing-a, like the moon-a and the June-a and the spring-a.

Singstar Pop still provides a boatload of singing fun and the song list is very good if you like pop radio. You will get artists such as 3 Doors Down, Alicia Keys, Hoobastank, Natasha Bedingfield, Snow Patrol, U2, The Frey, Whitney Houston, and even...

SingStar: Pop

I’ve finally been able to drag myself away from the game to write this review. I personally like a majority of the songs, and the rest are at least familiar – so that greatly improves my enjoyment. If you aren’t into Pop music, this isn’t for...

Karaoke games have always been for parties and large groups, and SingStar Pop has embraced this. Sony's London studio didn't go the same route as Karaoke Revolution: American Idol and put in a rich single-player mode; instead they tweaked the...
