Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves (PlayStation 2)

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus was released among a deluge of platformers for the PlayStation 2 in 2002, presumably vying for the title of the "Mario killer" for the budding system. The other two games, the Ratchet and Jak franchises, have gone...

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

Oh, raccoons- the scourge of suburbia. They'll sneak up to your house under the cover of darkness and ransack your refuse, but they are also notoriously meticulous. With these qualities, it is no surprise that Sucker Punch chose a raccoon to be the...

Now in its third iteration, the Sly Cooper series has managed to remain largely consistent from the beginning. Launching at a time when platforming titles were launching on the Playstation 2 left, right and center, the original Sly Cooper and the...

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

The 3rd Sly retains its fun, cartooney vibe, and excellent platforming mechanics that the series has become known for.

Sly 3's audio also has a personality-enhancing effect on the game as a whole. The music ranges from jazzy, bass-laden music to sweeping orchestral numbers with an Indiana Jones feel to them. The sound effects, like the visuals, would fit right in with...

In addition to the seven thieves, players can also take control of Inspector Carmelita Fox, Sly's longtime nemesis and love interest. She's also the half the focus of one of the two-player games, a feature that's new to the Sly franchise. Cops and...

Everyone's favorite raccoon has returned to the PlayStation 2 for his third adventure. This time Sly brings more friends with him to help him in this witty and charming cel-shaded platformer that only Sucker Punch could bring you. While it may be...

Visually Sly 3 has been upgraded and really pushes the cel-shaded technology to the limits. All of the characters appear to be lifelike and move realistically throughout each of the beautifully rendered levels. There is a lot more emphasis on players...

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves on Playstation 2

The Cooper Gang is Back

During some sections of the game players will have to option to switch into 3D. That’s right, 3D like those blue and red 3D glasses, a pair of which, uncomfortably shaped like Sly’s mask, are provided with the game. This is by far the most useless...

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

It feels strange, completely foreign really, to criticize a developer for giving you exactly what you want, but unfortunately that is the position I find myself in now. After completing last year's Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves, I wanted nothing more...

Still the best-controlled platformer out there ; Tons of variety, great new technology ; Well-realized 3D-glasses levels. Not overdone

Story was too sprawling, lacked focus ; Mission objectives frequently fell to just silliness, took away from series’ strengths ; A couple of real stinkers in the voice acting department

A good game, but doesn't live up to the Cooper family name.
