Street Fighter Alpha Anthology (PlayStation 2)

Several of Capcom's fighting games that dominated video arcades in the mid-to-late '90s are together for the first time in this set, and they're still just about as enjoyable as ever.

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology Review: All the Street Fighting You Could Ever Want

Old school fighting game fans, get your thumbs ready. The Street Fighter Alpha series has been bundled into one convenient package and adapted for the PS2. But is that enough for the classic 2D side-scrolling fighter to grab and hold your interest? ...

classic fighting game action, customizeable options, downloading capabilities

lack of new material

SFAA is great in that it has that arcade feel to it, except that it's happening in your living room and not at the local pizza joint. As a result, SFAA reminds you why the home console was such a significant advancement in video games, allowing the...

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology Rev..

If you're still in love with the Street Fighter Alpha series after all these years then this collection is a required purchase.

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology

Arcade nitpickers, this is the game you have been waiting for.

THIS is the way Capcom needs to treat their arcade ports. We can always use more games in a collection, and the fact that the game is a little skimpy on extras (thus toning down the whole anthology aspect), it's still a killer collection done right.

One disc with more fighting than you can handle

Four games for 30 dollars ; Fantastic control and gameplay ; Crazy unlockable modes

Bare-bones presentation ; Trying to play with the PS2 pad ; SFA3 missing stuff from the PSP version

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology

Capcom's got the cure for your summertime blues with this compilation of '90s 2D fighting classics.

Wonderful ports of Capcom 2D fighting classics; hard-drive loading makes nice difference, but is still optional

No online play; although great titles on display, still eight, nine, ten, and eleven-year-old games

One nice technical benefit is that when a player picks a game, it only has to perform its initial load. Any battles made within a game have 0 load times, so players can select their character and get to fighting in no time flat

Five games in one package; Fast paced gameplay; Memorable characters
