Street Racing Syndicate

Street racing games are all over the place lately. With the success of series like Project Gotham Racing and Need For Speed Underground, it's become clear that the forbidden thrill of speeding along city streets at obscene speeds, narrowly dodging...

Shut up and drive

Overall SRS is a fun game. As far as an "underground" racing game there are better ones out there. This is a fun game and worth a look at. I'd suggest a rental or borrowing it from a friend. Serious fans of the genre might consider renting it then...

Street Racing Syndicate

Street Racing Syndicate has an interesting history. It was shown off and was one of the surprise games of E3 2002, but by E3 2003 it had been passed on the racing list by Need For Speed: Underground. So instead of redesigning the game to make it a...

Gritty feel of the racing scene ; Customization aspects ; Online Play

Poor gameplay ; Mediocre sound and graphics ; Too much fluff, not enough substance

I would have loved to see what 3DO was going to do with this game. Namco makes great arcade games. Street racing doesn't lend itself to arcade racing. Hopefully Namco can remedy this if they decide to make a sequel.

Street Racing Syndicate - ps2

I like the game, and I highly recommend it for a weeklong rental: you need that long to really flesh out the fun. I think you'll really enjoy it

Rockstar is a company that is definitely ahead of the times. They pioneered the gaming industry into open ended adventures with the insanely popular Grand Theft Auto series. They also led the way for racing games with Midnight Club racing series. But...

Overall, SRS is not a bad game. However, it fails to stand out against Midnight Club or Need for Speed Underground. If you are a die-hard racing fan looking for a new game to try out, this title may be the one for you. However, everyone else should...

Street Racing Syndicate

Namco tries to push this racer into the redline, but this deeply flawed effort is barely middle of the road.

Lots of cars and after-market parts; decent visuals and sound

Very little speed; dodgy A.I.; incredibly stupid trophy babes

Respect the nitrous or lose the babe.

The most impressive aspect of SRS is the A.I. While most racing games have poor A.I. from either the lack of challenge or rubber band intelligence to come back and win at whatever the cost, you will find that each car on the road drives as if a real...

Street Racing Syndicate (PS2) review

Ladies and Gentlemen start your engines for Namco's answer to the ever popular Need For Speed Underground. Does it take first place or trail back in dead last?

SRS is only for die hard street racers (most of which are probably male anyway). It's evident from your first session in the garage, if you don't know what these parts do from the get go then it's going to take a lot of effort to learn, and the game...
