The King of Fighters XI (PlayStation 2)

The annual King of Fighters series is more than a decade old, and originates on arcade hardware that's older still, though the series' solid and varied gameplay has continued to bring the faithful coming back for more each year. Although many hardcore...

King of Fighters XI

SNK fans have been in Hog-Heaven recently as the company continues to release their latest titles on the PS2 and for a budget price. The latest installment is the eleventh...

The King of Fighters XI Review

Deeper than you know.

Detailed environments; Lots of characters; Plenty of modes; Deep combat systems; Only $20

Unlocking extra characters isn't intuitive; Final boss is really, really cheap

The eleventh time's the charm

Huge cast of characters ; Fast, fun fighting ; Lots of beatdown for the buck

Uneven graphical presentation ; Likely lack of local competition ; Typical KoF final boss from hell

The King of Fighters XI PlayStation 2 Review

The Ash Saga continues, and uses the same ten year old formula.

Then again this likely doesn't matter to anyone interested in this game. The King of Fighters fans out there are going to run for the game regardless of how it looks or sounds so long as it plays just fine. Nobody is going to be converted to this game...
